I can't get the chihuahua part out of my head
Are you thinking dog meat, or chihuahuas riding on cows on bicycles?
Now you've got me thinking about the old Taco Hell commercials...
All the teams pulled out of the Pro Tour. The teams at the TdF voted to do it, and then Astana said they would go along with the majority.
OK, now Scott-American Beef has to be the MOST ridiculous name for a pro bike team. I doubt those guys are downing many cheeseburgers no matter how much they ride...
Beefcake?
I'm really digressing, I know.
All of these new sponsors are making me hungry for some Mexican grub -- i.e. American Beef, Chipotle restaurant chain, etc. -- but alas, all of which would make me, after an hour or two, er....as Phil says....Leeky-gas.
Heh.
:D:p

So, le Tour is over. Oh sure, there's tomorrow but nobody will challenge. I'll be enjoying the traditional breakfast, getting to get up at zero dark thirty and head over to Spazzdog's place for bagels, lox and cream cheese and watch the last day of the Tour.
What's the wrap up gals?
Waiter, waiter!
I'll take one order of beefcake, here, please! :D
(heck, why stop at one!)...
Ok, anyway, well, I will watch tomorrow's stage but sad that it will be anticlimactic. However, I actually found today's TT somewhat exciting.
I know there's still the extended coverage to be shown on VS tonight, but is anyone else feeling withdrawal symptoms yet? I keep thinking about going in to work tomorrow and not pulling up a few live coverage sites as soon as I sit down at my desk. It's gonna feel strange to actually have to do some work in the morning, instead of goofing around following the stage and posting here
Well, there's still Beijing :o
That should be interesting on many levels...
Next up - La Vuelta!
I wish Versus could show all stages of the Vuelta like the Tour or the Tour of California. I mean who really watches Cage Fighting, Rodeo and Fishing. Okay wait my redneck cousins, brother in law and for fishing DH. But still! I need more wispy boys in lycra.
I tried to watch that cage fighting once (don't ask), all I did was laugh hysterically. There was something comical about the way they grab anywhere, I mean the guy had his head in the other guy's butt and his hand on his crotch. Seriously, is this more manly that cycling? Why because the bleed? Wait cyclists do that on occasion.
Well, I admit I enjoy it and used to watch it often with my dad. But still I want my cycling. :)
Oh yeah. Just finished watching the recap on OLN (Canada). I always get a little teary when le Tour is over, especially since OLN doesn't focus much on cycling and we rarely get to see other events. But I really enjoyed this year's TdF: it fired up my own flagging enthusiasm for riding, we had a local rider in le Tour, and the fact it was won on Canadian bikes didn't hurt, either. ;)
And the Olympics are only 11 days away!
edit: oh yeah...and I didn't hear Bobke say Tour Day France once.
All I can say is that it was a great Tour and I somehow managed to watch every stage, or at least parts of every stage.
I'm looking forward to the Vuelta, and the track racing at the Olympic velodrome.
Withdrawal symptoms, big time! :p
I think I will have withdrawal once I catch back up on my sleep!
I am also looking forward to the Olympics. I would love to see lady cyclists too!
