Mimi, I'm sure you've seen him in movies. I guess I like him so much because he talks just like DH although DH is Dark hair blue eyes.
Here is a link of him though if you are interested!

He's just a gem!
First off, I can't believe I haven't read this thread before tonight!! Look at what I've been missing.
Mimi, you are the champ, you are the goddess of hot cyclist photos.
And Lisa, this one is for you... This is my DH. Oh did I mention that he is 61 and these photos were taken in the last year.
Wahine, hubba hubba. ;)
That's one great thing about cycling, for sure. Guys look great for a long time. I am tempted to post some pics of my 61 YO ex-husband, but that is probably not a road that would be profitable for me to go down!
Wahine, You are a VERY lucky woman!;)
Jenn & Juli- My DH would probably die if he knew I posted him the "Hot Male Riders" thread. ;) Better than his looks, he has a very gentle and caring soul. I will however snicker and think of him as my trophy husband. :D
Wahine- Your DH looks AMAZING for 61!! I would never have guessed even close to that if asked his age. He is proof that hours of enjoyable aerobic activity pay off. He is one handsome man.
I've noticed that cyclists all look younger than their age.
Actually, I've noticed myself looking younger and younger since I've started cycling seriously. Or maybe it's just in my head. Oh well, isn't that where age is, anyway? :D
Very good looking husband you got there, Wahine!!
Hmmmm, I'm going to have to get a shot of my hubby on his bike...
Wahine nice shot of him in the carhartts.
Having restrained myself for (what seems like ) ever I will tell you all again.
There is One Cyclist who stands out from All the Rest
Richard Virenque
(pronounced Ree-charr as in French)
[Admin: why is there no Polka-dot colour(s) option so I can type his name properly and appropriately as in Polka dot/ Montagnes Jersey?]
Okay, I need a man in my life. Been trying to accept the fact that I don't, but all of your attractive and buff spouses are getting to me. A non-cycling friend suggested recently that perhaps I could use our club's rides as a way of meeting someone. Well, duh. Why do you think I do them? Well, that's not the real reason, but the possibility doesn't hurt.:p
Man, I hadn't checked on this thread in a few...
Mimi, Can't believe you ddin't know who Mattie was. I think we had a thread about him and Lance last fall.
I don't know who he is either. Why is he "the sexiest man alive"?? What has he done? No offense, but he looks too "male model-y" for my taste.
I guess I don't watch the kind of films he stars in.
I think Sean Connery is sexier... even at 77.
And who is this "Lance" fellow anyway? What's HE done?
(JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!)
Lance is most definately not my type. Then again, I get all excited over Johnny Depp and more bohemian sorts. How could you *not* admire this?
or this ?
Just... sayin'. It might be an age or style thing, and yes I know this is hot male 'riders' but you know what? You put Depp in lycra and... I dunno that anything in the world would be quite the same again...
Kitsune I couldn't agree with you more!!:D
No offense intended, just my own opinion....but I once had a neighbor who was a pimp who looked just like that!  Eeeew.... :D :D Shades of "Prince"... He can't even grow a real beard! :D
I'd rather see Johnny Depp in mothballs than Lycra.   :D :D ;) ;) (Though David Bowie "did" lycra pretty well in Labyrinth, I thought.)
I agree- must be an age/style thing. I don't go for guys that look like I could deck them with a well placed left hook. ;)
Not a Connery fan. If only Cary Grant were young. & alive of course.
Same here.
The only shots I have of him are when he's wearing lots of layers from a horrible rainy ride - not exactly a show-off-to-the girls kind of picture.
I'll have to bring the digi-cam on the next ride and take some pix of the Castelli scorpion while, uh, drafting! :D
And, I'm afraid I'd have to agree more with Lisa SH (gasp! :D ;) ) - I go for the rugged "classic" good looks over the Johnny Depp-androgynous look. Seventy-seven may be pushing it...but there are still plenty of examples out there.
i know a lot of people that don't like him because he's not the standard 007 but let me tell you, i still have no idea what that movie was about, i do know i'd watch it again.
and i know he's not on a bike, but still.....
Sean Connery could be my grandfather but in many respects, he's still sexy. perhaps moreso than the new 007. Sorry.
I <3 androgynous guys... I s'ppose to each her own, but I don't favor the big hairy musky men with bushy beards and missing-link body hair. ...and I'm *more* disturbed when such guys *shave* or *wax* everything.
Well trimmed facial hair, just long enough to be soft to kiss... then everything els as-is.
Depp and Bloom are sexy in that 'oh, so pretty...' way, but maybe I should just stick with the chixxors. :o
no offense taken. it was the first 007 movie i've seen so i have nothing to compare it too.
though sean connery, yep.
CWR - I'm with you on that one. I currently find him the sexiest celeb out there. Prior to him, it was Nicholas Cage. That says a little something about my taste. Definitely not into the pretty boy look. But I do find Johnny Depp quite hot. But if I had to pick a younger one to drool over, it would be Orlando...

Chickwhorips....thanks for making me drool on the keyboard....Ahhhh, there are good things about being a woman!:D Although you also have to admit David Beckham is just, ahhh...I just love em all!! Of course DH is my true love!
I know he's not a cyclist but.....when he's got short hair...yowzas! LOVE the way Chris Sharma looks..

Since we are kinda off track from the lycra clad hotties, am I alone in thinking that Jude Law is just gorgeous, along with Leonardo DiCaprio?
Give me one ping and one ping only Vasily.
I have a hell of a time thinking about Sean Connery and not seeing the Jeopardy skits on Saturday Night Live... ;)
Back after a few days offline -Man, has this thread taken off :D
What a very impressive array of husbands you all have!!!
I have to admit mine looks jest terrific in spandex too, but I don't have a photo to post. Take my word for it, he's gorgeous ;)
Lemmesee: Lance photo - hoo boy, I need a snorkel
Matthew McC - no way. He's just too slickly cute for me.
That coming from someone who ADORES Orlando Bloom.
But Leonardo DiCaprio looks just a tad older than my own son. Won't do.
New 007? Here in Norway everybody is has blue eyes, including me. But after seeing the film - yes, he is a most excellent 007.
Thank you for the Sharma shot! :D
No-one else have a hankering for the likes of Jeremy Irons? Daniel Day Lewis?
