Are you ladies wearing road ID's

Yes I wear a road ID on my wrist. I also carry an expired driver's license in my saddle bag with my "emergency cash".

I have 2 Slim Wristband Road ID's plus 1 dog tag style one. I wear one on my wrist all the time and the other one I have on a wristband that I put on my handlebars of my bike. If I go out on a ride by myself, I'll wear the dog tag one too. I guess I want to make sure I can be identified!!! LOL

Being a paramedic for 20+ years, I wouldn't have seen a reason to even ask him about carrying ID if he was conscious and alert. Road ID is intended to be used if the patient is unable to talk to you because they are unconscious, etc.

If the EMT's that responded chastised him for not carrying ID, and then when shown his Road ID, told him that they had never seen one before, I don't see how he would have lost faith in Road ID. I would have thought the opposite - it was a teaching moment for the non-cycling public so the next time they went to a cyclist, they would have automatically looked for their Road ID and then chastised that cyclist if he didn't have one!

Don't have one here. I do always have my ID and phone w/ emergency contact info and my insurance card in a pocket, plus an extra ID and laminated card w/ emergency contact info in my bike bag.

Good reminder about updating, tho, I will double-check it all.
