I'm back in the saddle again...
Did an easy flat ride today, my first on the road since the end of November. It's a quick 4.5 miles to our local MUT. Once there, I rode out about 11 miles and back, then a slightly different route home. 33.2 total miles at a much slower pace than I normally ride. I waited until the day warmed up (we got into the low 60's), so the cold morning air wouldn't trigger this pesky asthma. Everything went well, but by mile 6, my sit-bones were reminding me how long I had been out of the saddle! No problem with asthma, no coughing fits. As I sit here right now, there is only a little tightness in my chest. I can take a deep breath and not feel like I need the inhaler. Yay! I feel like me again :D.
DH did his own longer, harder ride today. I'm hoping I feel up to getting out tomorrow to join him on what will be a recovery ride for him.
Hope everyone who's been under the weather is getting back on track.
