Laube makes a very similar version that's cheaper, especially when you get into the larger sizes.
My female loves this thing. The male can take or leave it, and the dog just hates it. But they all get brushed with it to remove the loose undercoat that leads to "pet hair tumbleweeds".

That's a BIG DOG!

I caught Pearl sleeping softly....

Lisa, what is that cat laying on? She's adorable but it looks like she's a round being or something.
-
Lisa she is beautiful! That fur must be everywhere in your house!

She's on top of this 'kitty condo' scratching cylinder:

Announcing the new kitten of the house.. She's still nameless. Her mom and dad are feral cats but she's already neutered.

No wonder you could not resist her!

What a cutie, Mimi! I'm sure everyone involved will be happy with the new arrangements.
My Ruthie has been doing a terrible job of taking care of me since I got my wisdom teeth out yesterday. She hasn't even sat with me, making me feel very unloved. Cats make lousy nurses.

Proof my Tortilla is the weirdest cat ever, she loves to cuddle when I am sick! She reminds me of our dear Maggie Bear who was so incredibly maternal. One day I was crying after Nanny died and there was Tortilla snuggling and purring to let me know it would be okay.
Hope Ruthie comes to take care of her Mommy!

Mimi- Your new baby is gorgeous, has she named herself yet?
-
her name is Dot. She's a little timid, which is a good thing, the other cats are all having hissy fits.

What happens when you cross a Scottie with a Yellow Lab?
Answer: Arthur (our shelter pup)
Deb
-
Arthur looks like a Calico dog :D
He's a cutie, I love terriers.
-
He's a brindle, oversized Scottie. A real sweetie. My pastor hubby says he is the perfect Lutheran dog. He sins like a terrier and feels guilty like a lab.

Oh that is one cute little dog.
I imagine its hard to stop cuddling him.:)

That is one cute dog! And Arthur is the perfect name. The making of him, though, must have been interesting. Can't quite get my mind around that coupling.

The weather has turned here in CT, and it's getting cold at night. I like to put off turning the heat on as long as possible, but have turned on the little space heater in my bedroom the last two nights. Well, when I got up this morning, Ruthie sent a clear message of what she thought of the situation:

OMG...that is TOO CUTE!!!!!!!
It looks so much like our little Suki's mouth, too. :p

His mom was a registered Scottie. His dad was a fence-jumping Lab. It was actually kind of sad. We met the owner of the mother. The puppies had to be delivered caesarean because they were way too big for her (she had 6 of them). The owner of the Lab laughed about it and told the lady she needed a higher fence. When the puppies were weaned (they were supplemented by bottle because the mom couldn't feed them all) they were taken to the shelter. They did all find homes.

Despite Arthur's very cuteness, I will only say to PLEASE spay and neuter yoru pets! I know I'm preaching to the crowd here....I digress.

Margot was spayed last week and has recovered nicely, aside from a UTI. In the words of the vet, "she doesn't realize she had surgery." She completely ignored her incision.
Thank goodness she's now off "limited activity" and can wild-it-up with her sisters. LOL.
It'll be interesting to see who emerges as the alpha. She's already been humping Fiona who is no longer patiently taking it.
By the way, Arthur is a sweetie.

Sammy got neutered on Tuesday, and it took until 10 pm that night for him to get back to his usual crazy self. Now he's humping AJ, when he didn't do it before. What the heck is that about? Aren't puppies fun?
Edit to add: And now I find he's just chewed up the transmitter for my Polar heart rate monitor (which I thought was out of his reach). Oy! He must think I'm made of money.

Dot was neutered before I was allowed to take her home!

bluey
I know there are some blue heeler owners round here & need to get some info from you. We're adopting a male bluey this week & would just like your insights into owning one.
Feel free to pm me.
To answer your questions you have already-The doggie was ok with Yukon when they had a "meet" at the refuge on the weekend. (a very long process involved in the adoption process at this particular refuge) Also, we have a private doggie trainer to contact for assistance.

So far Yukon & Ozzie get along although there have been a few "i'll get out the way before my hand is ripped off" moments whilst sorting themselves out...
One day at a time..

Oh, Molly reminds me of my departed Dinah.
That Nanook looks like he has a lot of personality. Do you know what kind of dog he is?
He looks like GSD but mixed.
