Margot's expression in the top picture--lol! :D
Happy birthday, Fiona! Can mom post a pic of you here?
Sure! The gorgeous two-year-old is directly below. The second picture is Margot, in her usual state of chaos. Finally, the third picture is of Fiona, attempting an evasive maneuver on her rambunctious baby sister.
Margot: "Mmm, tastes like chicken."
Fiona: "I'm outta here!"
Here is my Cobie on one of my MTB rides. He is 1 1/2

KALI and NIKKI!!!!!!! Those tongues are incredible.
I think Margot was trying to give herself "Kali ears" when she was romping.
Cobie looks like a sweetie. Little white feet!
I don't have a recent photo on this computer (*cough, cough*, the office), but yesterday I took my tuxedo kitty, Herald, to the Vet as he's been a bit gimpy lately. Yes, he has arthritis in his hips, but apparently that is the least of his problems. He's also dropped 4 pounds .. HOW could I have missed that!:eek: His blood sugar was sky high, and his diabetes is out of control. He was on special diet, well now he's on insulin. Today was his first insulin shot. Hope he gets to feeling better soon.
In the back of my beady little mind is how do I keep the insulin cold when/if we have a power failure due to hurricanes?
This is what my bed currently looks like:

"O, hai mommy, I can haz bed and piwwow wite?"

"Yous couldn't possibly make this face move, could you?"
Wiggling out a spot for myself is going to be difficult, much less claiming that pillow back!
MartianDestiny, our dogs are obviously closely related!
Tulip and Martian, your beds look about right.
I've been known to sleep crosswise at the bottom of my bed to not disturb the bosses sleeping on the pillows.
This is Kaylee.. our beautiful dalmatian.
She's 3 and just loves human company. You wouldn't believe it by her size but she is an inside dog :)
When Ruthie isn't sleeping or hunting from the safety of a window, she's in Devil Cat mode. Jumping out from behind walls to attack me, hauling from room to room, her paws literally squealing as she corners. All with ears flattened and eyes wide open, just large black disks. Recently she's taken to attacking my bed, randomly pouncing on folds, then launching off the side to run under the bed, and back on top. Here she is in all her glory last night:

NoNo- that's EXACTLY what our little Suki does in the mornings! Same face, too! :D
We call it "wild kitty" at our house. Like, "Fizler's got wild kitty all asudden!" Laughter ensues. Kitty gets offended and hides under the couch.
Karen
We say Suki is "wilding" when she does that.
Yes, they don't like it when we laugh.
At one point this morning while we were having our coffee in bed, Suki leaped across the entire double bed and halfway across the room too while only ricocheting off the ground once! Kitty pinball.
Oh but what joy to watch them "wild" kitty antics. The 2 youngest of mine do it...one more than the other. I wish I had more mornings when I did not have to leave for work so I could enjoy the "ping-ing"!
I call her devil cat because of the way her ears flatten and the tips point up, like devil horns. I usually egg her on by looking her straight in the eye and taking a quick step towards her, causing her to fly in the other direction and then run back and try to attack from behind (she'll only attack me from behind:confused:) Or I'll look at her and run to another room, only to have her come charging after me a moment later. We both end up breathless by the time it's over:p
Seeing Kaylee's picture reminded me I have been meaning to post a pictures of my dalmatian puppy, Cowboy. Here is a picture of Cowboy shortly after I got him in April and one of him and my 9 year old, Cooper, a few weeks ago.

I love wildy kitties and black and white dogs!
When Shiloh goes crazy, I say he has a case of the Zoomies because he zooms and zooms and zooms until he can no longer zoom.
Those are really beautiful dalmations!
NoNo, I see a lot of similarities between our two 'wildlings'...look at their little mouths, for one thing! And they both have those 'troublemaker' red tabby patches.
Here's Suki with her 'innocent' look.

And here she is when she's not quite so sedate:

dakay, your Dals are GORGEOUS in that shot together!
(I'm a bit partial to black-n-white dogs myself!) :D
Lisa, that wild kitty picture is so illustrative! I love seeing it again.
Karen
My 10 1/2 year old Corgi still gets the zooms every night!
Dakay, that first picture is beyond adorable!
That doesn't look all that innocent:p They do look a bit similar. The vet told me calico's are on the crazy side. If I'd known that, I might have picked one of the grey kittens from the litter. Nah, I can't imagine not having my Ruthie!:)

my heart melts when ever I see a dalmatian. Yours are super cute! They are so inteligent aren't they! Kaylee is def my best friend :-)
They are smart. The way I have heard them described is that where a golden retriever takes a while to learn something then does it all the time, a dal learns things quickly and then figures out other ways to do them. They can be a challenge. My old boy is my obedience, agility, tracking dog and the puppy is starting to learn all of those things.
How old is Kaylee? She's a cutie.
Kathy
Hey, hey, hey, Kathy. Owner of multiple "mensa" Goldens here. Them's fightin' words! You'd better take it back!!! :D
Seriously, trust me, my goldens have figured out all sorts of ways to do things. The only problem is that they are things they shouldn't be doing!! :)
Sometimes life just sucks. I happened to take today off, and finally got my porch kitty, Patches, to the Vet to get her shots. I've been feeding her for several months, slowly making friends. My vet said that I could bring her in without an appointment and they'd work her in for shots if I dropped her off. Since she's semi-feral, they tested her for feline HIV, and she was positive. And since she's was a sweet cooperative kitty, they drew more blood and tested her again, still positive. :(
Patches is (was) a neighborhood kitty that a neighbor started feeding after Hurricane Katrina. Near as we can tell she was probably someone's cat that got turned out when they evacuated and then lost in the storm, and she found her way to Vicki's house, and then eventually to mine. Amazingly she absolutely loved dogs. Somewhere along the way Patches was spayed (her ear was clipped). She got named "Patches" because when Vicki started feeding her, she was missing a lot of fur and her white under coat was showing in big patches.
So today, she had to be put to sleep, but she was petted and loved on to the end. Then I brought her home and buried her in the garden like a kitty with a proper home should be. But she died well fed, with a satiny coat. I just couldn't fix everything. :(
Her she is on one of her rare visits to the inside, back when the weather was cooler and I had the back door open. Obviously making herself at home, albeit briefly. She never would stay inside for very long. I just couldn't convince her life is better inside:
Thank you Beth for sharing Patches story with us. She was well loved in the end and hopefully she knew it. I am sorry for your loss....
Beth - sorry to hear about Patches, but glad that you took her under your wing and loved her. ((Hugs)) to you!
Aw, Patches is lovely in that photo. You can see how relaxed and happy she is, look at those paws. You gave her a great ending to her life, you couldn't do better than that.
My stick! No it's MY stick.
Look how big Margot has gotten.
Beth, I posted my picture without looking through the thread.
So sorry to hear about Patches. She sounds like a special soul and now will be your sweet guardian angel kitty.
So sorry to hear about Patches. She does look very content and peaceful in the photo.
