I would do that (or borrow FIL's Bianchi Milano) if I didn't have a 13 - 15% grade to climb to get home! On a bike like that I don't know that I could do it. And there's the issue of going down the grade to get anywhere, risk of falling, etc., which is why I am off bikes in the first place.Quote:

My C in grad school (we won't talk about undergrad) was in Philosophy of Science. I was forced to take it, as I was getting a "doctor of philosophy" degree. I like Ph.D. better. Philosophy and I do not mix. I especially did not mix with the squirt of an instructor. He did not like the fact that I challenged the ideas he was presenting. Aren't you supposed to discuss things in a philosophy class? It was not a positive experience. No alcohol involved for me, just divorce, being stalked, and a hint of stuborness on my part. :)

most people who type G-d or G*d are not doing it so as not to offend others. Many Jews do not type or write the name of God because there is an rule in the old testament that the name of God should never be erased or desecrated. So if they type G-d and then the post gets deleted they are not in violation. From a Jewish faq that says it better than I can:

Do you think it's bad to eat a lot of salmon in one week? I made salmon salad from canned salmon, then bought this big piece of "wild Alaskan" salmon on sale, broiled it, realized it's 5 meals' worth for me...maybe I should freeze two of the cooked pieces. I mean the heavy metals etc issue.
