Thread Drift

I went onto their website (Scharffen Berger)
and I want a nibby bar. or several nibby bars.
But i don't know what COLOR that bar is.

I am having a super tough week at work. So that crazy ride last night was great for relieving some of the stress and tension. I just hope my backside heals quickly.

I now know that our "fun ride" is going to be a dead serious race and my tandem partner in the race/ride is one of the ones most serious about it.

MO3, I think it's very very very rare for something to get lost.

I just noticed this morning that I have a Nuisance Alligator Hotline magnet on my fridge. (I didn't put it there.)

I do not like touching willies as part of my job!

I get to go for a bike ride, I get to go for a bike ride, ALL DAY if I want, cuz I DON'T HAVE TO WORK TODAY!!!!

The sun is up, the sky is blue, the leaves are changing colors!

I have errands to run (all just off the bike trail) and I get to go hang out at one of my LBS's and order goodies for Flossie!

Then, depending how sore the current stem and bars have made me, might ride to the lake or the ocean or maybe detour onto the campus of my alma mater and see how many students we can run over! (jk)

Wooo-hooo! A whole day with nothing to do but ride!

(and low traffic on the trails because it's a weekday)

call your local feral cat ladies and tell them you want them to come trap the cats!
there are scores of dedicated ladies (and a few guys) who will trap unwanted cats and have them neutered and place them somewhere else where they are safe and wanted.

Those cats got there because someone else didn't take care of their pets.

I wrote my work "manifesto". It's quite the bitter tale, I printed it on a very pretty background of the sunset in what looks like Monterey. In lovely script. People stop at my desk and read it, and walk away confused......:p

it may not have gotten lost in your tiny PO but it does go to the main branch somewhere that it gets proccessed and my have been sent somewhere else. (i've gotten mail here for things on the east coast, computers scann the bar codes wrong sometimes.) there is a new update with the computer systems at the PO and we have to scann them funny. sometimes i even forgit to scann it a second time, yes its true. as long as they scann it when it gets delivered it will show up on the tracking websight.
don't give up hope on the PO yet. please.

i agree send the person a note. she may not have gotten it. i didn't get one yet from august and it may have actually gotten lost in the PO or something. who knows.

sheesh, at least where we work, everyone knows that the only thing they care about is shareholders' value!

My productive morning:

Slept in until 6:00 a.m. Hey, don't have to go to work this morning! Got up and played on the computer, made breakfast, walked the dog, cleaned the apt a little, packed up my bike stuff and drove to the trail.

Rode about 30 miles. Dropped off a bike seat, returned fugly stem to LBS #2, bought new bars at LBS #1, stopped at LBS #2 again to admire some seat post racks, went to Home Depot and bought electrical tape and zip ties. I'm sure I looked mighty cute on the trail: seat tied to my fanny pack heading one way, bars tied to my fanny pack heading the other way.

All before lunch!

LBS #1 said I should try riding the new bars on the old stem before I go switching stems. LBS #2 said they might have a used Nitto in the size I need at their offsite storage (aka home) which they'd sell me for $20. Both LBS's say if I put on a new stem all the cables will have to be replaced again. Dang. Just got all new cables last week. Money, blowing away...

Fondled some Vittorina Randonneurs with reflective sidewalls. Mmmm, nice.

so after I eat lunch I will attempt The Great Handlebar Switch. LBS #1 gave me some helpful hints. After the switch, then the wrap Trek sent Flossie.

Then another ride this evening!

(I can't stand the thought of replacing the cables AGAIN.)

It's even more bizzare - the management team and staff of PBS love the job I do - they joke about cloning me. The "jokes" about me never taking time off are no longer funny....
