The Falkirk Wheel
Its a boat lift. It lifts boats between two canals (the Forth and Clyde Canal ) running Glasgow to Falkirk and the Union Canal (running Edinburgh to Falkirk.
The wheel was built as a milenium project. It works on hydraulics -and hardly uses any electricity. It's also almsot silent in motion. And it's a huge thing when it turns.
