The Cassowary will take more time...:D

As you live in florida, will ya send me a Pallas's Mastiff Bat ...:eek:

Off to the Australian Geographic store...I wonder how often US post handles air filled crocs?

You know, I _would_ send you a PM bat, but they are found a little too far south for me.

This place is right down the road, though, and they have an open house every year around Halloween! http://www.lubee.org/ Who would have known that the bat trademark of Luis Bacardi rum was due to LB's love of bats...

You haven't experienced a bat until you've been six inches away from a bat with a six-foot wingspan!

Also in town, the University of Florida Bat House (housing a large population of Brazillian Free-Tails.) http://www.floridabats.org/UF-BatHouse.htm It's where we always take out-of-town visitors, to see the nightly emergence.

$10-$20?

I'd say anything cycling-related in the $10-$20 range would be great. I'm sure we could all afford that, and it could be socks or bottles or miscellany... can I get a second on the motion?

AND we could start a "wish list" thread so other SS could look up and see favorite colors, sock size, etc.

Geez! I only mailed it out March 6. It's amazing what the pony express can do these days! If we were like England and used bikes, it would have gotten to you a lot quicker. Sorry about that! I hope you like 'em! ;)

Actually I don't know when it came, probably early last week, but I was in Belgium so I just picked up my mail today.

Mail from the US can take as little as 2-3 days if it comes from the West Coast... A whole week would be about the max.

secret sister pkg already sent

Wasnt sure what we were sending to our ss for the month of April, and I was sending overseas, so I sent my pkg out early d/t April is going to be a busy month for me. I took a couple ideas and sent out socks (which I thought was going to be a monthly thing so I stocked up) that were more state specific and some small items that I thought could be of use while out riding. I hope no one minds, esp. mt. puddles, as there really wasn't anything set in stone as what to send out yet for the month of April. So my ss that lives in Australia should be getting a small pkg. in about 2 weeks..enjoy..shellyj

Combining March & April

Since I didn't get involved from the start, I will be adding a pair of socks in my package for April. I only got her name & address in the last week or so and haven't had time to get out shopping. Hopefully, my secret sister is being patient with me. Especially, since she's in Europe!

Ooh! I just received my gift from my secret sister! Thank you for the "good dog" socks! I love them! The note was perfect, too! Thanks so much!!!! This will definitely ward off all those bad dogs!

Just received my SS's name and address! This is my first time....can I send a gift right away? Is there a certain type of gift (I see socks mentioned a lot) or dollar amount we have to stick to?
