i've never seen such big bacon before!
Wow, that really is BIG bacon! It looks YUMMY!
lol! It's big all right, but....so thin you could read a newspaper through it!
Hey, we are coming to the Berkshires again this year, after a 2 year hiatus.
That picture reminds me that I would love to eat at Ralph's again.
But, I am not sure I want to ride there again... :D.
Yeah, here's Crankin and her DH (on left) with Ralph in the same place Ralph's Pretty Good Cafe when she came last time!

You can take your car! ;)
Well.. maybe if we do the ride in the other direction, like you explained. Those hills after lunch, in the unshaded 85 degree weather almost killed me!
But... it's just a gradual rolling incline! lol!
Sounds like you live in the kind of terrain that you can get fit just riding a mile or two from your house and back.
Not "my" bike but the Trek I rented last week in Maui. I thought you'd like the jersey and the scenery. Then, my commuter bike on a small Gulf Island tour, loaded with carrots. And finally my road bike on our wedding day, after the reception: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_O...IMG_2071_8.JPG. No pictures of my Raspberry Gunnar yet, I need to go get it fitted on Thursday!!!
The Sport, 54 cm. Just rode it out of the shop today. We needed to fiddle with the reach for a while, the new Ultegra shifters feel longer than we thought. It was also a bit of a pain to find brakes that work. But here it is! And it's sweet. I went out for a 35 km ride rolling out of the shop and I'm very pleased. :)
Awesome! It sounds like you were able to go with a stock size? I had originally intended on going with a Sport until it became apparent that my desires and fitting needs caused us to base it on the Crosshair instead.
Congratulations - and looking forward to the pictures!

Moab Skinny Tire - Monitor and Merrimac by DutchRosie, on Flickr
Me and DH riding in Moab's Skinny Tire Festival last month. This was the first day, going up to Dead Horse Point State Park. The weather was gorgeous. I'm riding a 2007 Specialized Dolce Elite.
The view at DHP:

In the spirit of this thread, here is me with one of my new bikes :) It is very hard for me to get a short of me actually ON the bike as I am a single person and typically ride alone.
Nice photo, Catrin. Looks like Ms. Plum is just aching to be unleashed and ridden.
is that a purple bike??? AWESOME!
Congratulations Catrin, and many happy, loving, riding years to you and Ms. Plum!
Nice bike !!! May you both have many happy and healthy miles ahead.
Nice ride Catrin and amazing photos from BikeDutchess! :)

Maybe that will work: I actually didn't have any pics of myself someone else took this one. I'm the one on the left on the green bike. I remember how dead I was here, wind had beat me up that day
My new ride.
this was taken on the "your canyon for a day" ride in Yakima Canyon this weekend, and I'm riding it, so it counts as a photo of me, right?

Wow. That velomobile is amazing! It's like you're in a Lotus or something! :D
TsPoet, that looks like a blast! Lucky you!
wow Poet, that looks like a very fast bike. What was your highest speed? Is it harder to go up hills with all the extra weight? Love the racy thing you have going on in the pic.
A lotus with a very poor engine.
It is, I've put about 500 miles on it in the last 2 months. Mostly as a commuter/car replacement, it's great.
My highest speed thus far has been 45 mph - on the ride in which those photos were taken. My nerves handle up to about 33 mph just fine, then they start to frazzle. So, I think 40 will be about my top speed from now on. It could go a lot faster. I had to pass some other cyclists by crossing a rumble strip in the center of the road, and nearly flipped as I lost control and skidded sidewase. My riding partner told me as long as I hit rumble strips at less of an angle they are fine, but I wasn't willing to try it again and had to slow down behind cyclists.
It weighs about 65 lbs. I was impressed on this ride, lots of 1-3% grades up the canyon and it wasn't that hard - we averaged 12.7 mph up the 17.5 miles and 15.2 mph back down. But, it felt good, not like I was really burning to get up. According to rideswithgps, the total elevation gain up was 650 ft.

I used to average 13.3 mph on my road bike commutes to work - so I'm slow by nature.
Here I am!!!
That could be anyone . Whooooo are you hoo hoo hoo hoo (the Who).

ooh ooh looks like I didn't follow the rules! LOL. Here is a pic of me and DH, I have my sunglasses and helmet on, so I hope it counts
Just updated my blog with a trip to Ohio story...some is family/geeky stuff, but if you scroll down, you can read about a really cool ride we did up there and see some photos of DH and I and our Bike Fridays. I'm not fond of the photos of me, but I was having fun nonetheless. :p
