Well, I'm apparently too stiff, so instead of 2/week, I now have to do 3/week:(
And the train schedule is such that I do better with my hours if I drive in:mad:

Fredwina - I did better with 3x per week on my shoulder. Kept things looser. I'd do even better if I continued my exercises after my therapy sessions were over......
good news, bad news
Good news
my attorney forward me a check for $400 from the insurance company to fix my bike and clothing :)
The bad news
I got told I need three more weeks of PT :( Maybe buying that bent is a good idea after all (If I can only get the settlement money)
Are you in pain? :( Do you have someone to help you around the house? I hope you are doing better. I did a couple of miles for you today.
no pian , except for when put wieght on it (though I'm supposed to get more home exercises)
Glad to hear you're on the mend! Hope the PT goes well. Keep us posted!
$400? That doesn't seem like enough :(
Presumably that's not her settlement, that's just the damage to the bike and clothes (which must have been what she asked for). When I had my accident, I quickly got a check for the bike damage based on an estimate from my bike shop for what it cost to replace my bike since it was totalled, but the settlement, which include the medical expenses, lost wages and pain and suffering comes later. I didn't think to ask for the bike clothes (they had to cut my nice sugoi shorts off my), good call fredwina). You don't want to settle until you are sure what your final medical expenses are.
Clothes : don't thank me, thank Gary,
Also got money for a new helmet.
Yes, it just for bike damage - The final settlement will come after I m discharged from PT/MD care(like you said), since from what I have read, I will not regain 100% Range of motion, and there is a possibility that I may need joint replacement surgery down the road
wow, I'm really sorry to hear that you were that badly hurt. I am SO glad you got a lawyer..
Oh man Fredwina, sorry to hear that. :(:( I didn't even know they did elbow replacements.
Hope the PT is going as well as possible.
Never TMI....but I'm weird that way.Quote:
TMI?
I'm sorry you have to go through this. Good luck with it all.
FWIW: Most that I know that have had joint replacements have done VERY well, and been very glad they did it. Hopefully it won't be necessary for you, though. Hang in there.
I got discharged from PT on Friday.
My next MD appt is next week, so hopefully, I'll be back on the road soon.:)
Well then this one's for you, Fredwina
I guess that means you feel ready but you're just waiting for clearance? Yippee!!
Wonderful news. :) :)
That's great news Fredwina, and the weather is starting to warm up :p.
Zen, I love those signs :D.
I was discharged from the MD yesterday, so I rode (probably shoudn't as I know have a horrible cold :( )
The roubiax is still considered "evidence" so I used the Hybird

The other bike path in Rancho Cucamonga:

an addtion to the rail trail it ends here(Interstate 15) since this the line between R.c. and Fontana:

how far did you ride for your first ride?
gasp, are you bionic now?
w00t!
Now take care of that cold y'hear?
Yay, ride pics! It's been too long. Good for you!
Now don't do too much too soon! Baby steps.
I did 16 - probably too much, but I wanted to see how far they had extended the trail - it's about another mile
all organic (except for my denutures :o )
cold is getting better
Yay! Glad you got a ride in!
The only problem right is that My Roubaix is still considered evidence and cannot be fixed until settlement - it needs a new wheel (I have a spare), and some handle bar tape (a little bar Harder to fix with destroying the evidence ):( I much more comfortable on it than my Hybird, but I should have another addition to the the stable in a couple of weeks:)
we've reached a tenetative settlement with her ins. Should have the$ in about 30 days.
Yay! Closure!!
Yay, Freddy!!!! Good outcome, and I hope it's million$$$$.
not even close, but I'm wasn't expecting that (although it would have been nice)
It probably enough to buy several nice bikes, but we still working on wether AnthemBC wants to recover their part(still , that's not much)
I spent my 401K to move out here - let's say that this will go a long way to getting me to where I can retire:cool:
Hey Fredwina, that's great. Money can't really make up for a bad injury, but at least it is some closure.
hmmm, how come you have to wait another 30 days (can you tell that I'm hitting my "frustration" threshold with others' timelines?!)??
You've been through enough and it seems like it's another unnecessary burden to make you wait longer, when we all know how quickly things can be resolved when people are willing and cooperative!
When it comes time for me to be in this phase, I think that I will refuse to be the only one to be patient and wait yet again; enough!
The answer is.

Paperwork:rolleyes:
I need to sign some papers, and we still need to know if Anthem wants thier money back
Patience - yes I know - you should see the PT bill on my desk
I got all the paperwork read and signed this weekend still 3-4 weeks away from the $.
Glad to hear...I'm sure that you're more than ready to put this all behind you (I know that I sure am for my situation!).
Tailwinds!
Mary
I have the check:)
but it's made out to me and my lawyer. I have to endorse it , mail it back to him, and he will take his cut out of the check he will mail me back:(
glad to hear it and...not at all surprised about the pay your lawyer first piece!
I hope that you're rightfully compensated and can put this behind you soon.
Tailwinds!
Mary...who is still in the dregs of the whole crash/injury aftermath...:(
