It's not looking too good for me guys. I rode a short 10 miler today, my wrist and forearm are screaming.
We'll see how the rest of the week goes.
i hope the week goes better snap!
if it's not too late, please count me in for dinner sadiekate.
I've signed myself up for the 100 mi, but we'll see what happens on saturday:eek: . I'm staying at the Ramada Friday night. Doing the Friday night registration and plan to start riding as early as possible in the morning. Hopefully I'll finish in time for the bbq :o
Got you on the list.
Veronica, how about you two?
Anyone else I missed?
I've emailed my roommate and her boyfriend to ask if they'd like to join us, and I'll let you know if they can.
This is gong to be fun!
I'll save the next one for you.
Thom did something to his knee back before Party Pardee and it's not better yet. :( So I'm not sure we'll be there at all right now. Definitely not for dinner Friday night though.

Is his knee getting better and just needs more time?
It was getting better, but he was on his feet all day Saturday and it was swollen on Sunday. Monday he spent most of his day sitting down and it seemed better. We just want to get it healed before summer comes.

I won't be going either - I'll be starting therapy with my CMT to get my arms taken care of.
Double - actually triple - bummer!
I'm bummed. I want to get this thing with my arms nipped in the bud, before I end up off the bike again.

SK - my friends will NOT be joining us for dinner.
And, depending of when we get off work and on the road, we might be in the "late appearance" category, but I'll confirm by cell phone on Friday afternoon.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!
Sounds good. Yellow and I are being foo-foo ladies of leisure in Sonoma tomorrow before we truck on over to Santa Rosa.
Her new bike is mighty purdy!
Sorry, this chip is not a winner. Please play again!
Actually, no casino time for me. I spent about 2.5 hours at the Sierra Trading Post outlet, which can sometimes be a gamble as the prices often ring up for less that what they are marked. I want everyone to know that I RESISTED EVERY JACKET THAT PRESENTED ITSELF TO ME (and believe me, there were many). It's a good thing there isn't an outlet store in SLC. It's bad enough having the Patagucci outlet there.
Oh well, better luck next time. Maybe I can talk Trekhawk into a very brief casino stop on our way across Nevada en route to SLC. heh heh heh.
Have fun foo-foo'ing tomorrow ! I'll try to pay Kim B. a visit sometime next month during my week off while LeeBob is galavanting across the state. My toenails are a dizz-aster. :p
And see you all tomorrow evening I hope!
The Thrill of Brazil is packed and ready for action.:D
As usual - GREAT RIDE!!
I'm sorry I didn't see more folks for longer than I did - and Deanna sorry I had to run after seeing you oh so briefly at the SCBC table!
We had a great ride - and I have to say OMG I have NEVER had a better bike ride rest stop sandwich than I had here. Seriously - avocado!! What's next? Bacon? You had a choice of bread, meat, condiments (including avocado) and it was made to order (quite quickly - no huge wait) right there for you. Yum!
The only slight downer is the little patch of poison oak I must have picked up while setting my bike up against the fence at the Coleman stop (I can think of no other time I went off the road all weekend). Oh well. Small price to pay!
And for 5 of our TNT Death Ride team it was their longest ride ever. And they did great! Yay!
ETA: OH OH - I amost forgot - and I loved the warm tortillas and the cut up banana with PB on top of it at the Monte Rio stop. You could get SO fat on this ride!!! Good thing I'm a little fat already - it takes the pressure off! :D
Fabulous ride!
I was nowhere near back in shape from my headcold that hung on for-ever, but I really wanted to ride at least the first part of the 200K route. I'd never been up Coleman Valley Rd before and I was told by many it was not to be missed.
It was a slog to get up to the ridge on CVR, with a couple of (thankfully brief) 20% sections. You know it's getting steep when you get the sensation that the front of your bike is about to tip up and over. gahhhh.
As I was plodding along on that last steep section I was muttering to myself This better be worth it!!. :p
But when I reached the top, these are the views I was rewarded with. Yeah, it was well worth it! :)

Jo - thank you SO much for getting a pic of the fabulous banana chef!!!
Thanks for posting your pictures! I did not know we had a banana chef in our midst!
Deanna looks stunning in the Cuervo shirt! But I'll bet she wished the event took place in Vegas so her secret would still be safe.
Those weren't margaritas!!! Those were the margarita Cliff Bloks (dissolved)!
Special guest appearance by Karnac the Magnificent

Karnak the Magnificent! :D :D :D (Highlight of the evening!)
The only things I can add about the ride was that it was lots of fun, beautiful scenery, and I can't wait to get my new bike that fits!
... and the NorCal TE gang has the MOST fun!
