Good News: I am making "excellent" progress. The ice cream diet works!
Bad news: I'm still in a sling until my next appointment (9/5/06) Darn!
I'm getting more movement back, and only hurts when do I something unexpected. I can manage my AD L's (activities of Daily Living) lot better now. I Also Borrowed a trainer, so I'm going to try a one-handed ride this weekend. I've been getting and doing hike/walks instead of biking.
Thanks for thoughts
Jana
Glad to hear you're able to get on the bike, even one handed, on a trainer.
No heavy lifting and no bike riding for three more weeks (Dr said today!!). The good news- you are healing!:)
The bad news- no riding!:( :( :( :(
Can you negotiate the trainer yet?
I'm glad to hear you are reconsidering pacelines- crashing is a liability you have to accept in those circumstances (unfortunately). AND the one who suffers (as you know) is the one who goes down.
I'm also amazed that the guys behind you didn't at least wait to see if you were all right. IMHO that is darned right rude, inconsiderate, and simply unacceptable.
BG,
I tried the trainer once with the sling, it wasn't working. I could either pedal standing striaght up or have the left leg hit my arm. I haven't returned it, so I may give it another whirl. Until, then, I'm doing plenty of hiking....
Glad to hear you are out and about. At least hiking is outside!!!!!
