Sweet!!!!!!!
Snap, I have to ask, what are your plans now? I plan to retire in 7 years, it sort of scares me, I'm so use to working 10 hours a day, I will def ride my bike more. Congrats tho, just curious what you're going to do with the second half of your life:):)
Congrats, Snap!! I'm so happy for you and can't wait for that day myself (6 more years).
Happy for you! And envious. What are your plans?
Technically, I could retire anytime. I'm past the minimum age and have enough service credit, but the monthly would be substantially lower than if I wait.
My major concern is having medical, so I have to wait for 65. That's going to be a long five years. Personnel changes, both current and possibly future, are making it very hard to kick myself out the door each weekday morning.
Plans right now are to decompress. There are a lot of things around the house I'd like to do too.
I've started compiling a list of things, one is taking some classes at the International Culinary Institute, there is also a pottery studio downtown that has classes. Maybe photography classes....
I'll probably look into some kind of volunteer work later on.
