I'm a flannel sheet person too. However, if you find them too hot, cotton jersey is also a good option. I think I bought my cotton jersey sheets from Target. They are soft like flannel but without the heat - just order a size up!

Pilling doesn't indicate poor quality, according to this vendor of organic USA-made bed linens:
I haven't dealt with Rawganique so take that fwiw, but I do know a LOT of formaldehyde and other toxic chemicals are used in the textile industry. I prefer knowing how a desirable quality is reached, so I can at least make a decision about whether it's worth it or not. (And if anyone does wind up ordering from them, post your experience please!)Quote:

My favorite sheets ever were 100% linen and from the Ukraine about 15 years ago. When they got a grip on their economy, I could no longer afford another set.
We have some high thread count ones from BBB now. They are nice and seem to be lasting forever.

I like the cotton jersey sheets too. I am pretty particular about my sheets. In the summer I have a set that sound like the "hotel" collection--they are super crisp and almost silky. I love those in the hot summer months. In the fall and spring I rotate between the jersey cotton and the flannel.
Seriously going to check target out. Last time I bought a set from Costco within a year the were stretched out and within 2 the elastic went bad. And they were too big so there was all this extra sheet!

I LOVE nice sheets. And my current favorites are "affordable" - thick, cottony and well made - from Target! they are the "Fieldcrest Luxury" sheets. My mattress is about 19 inches deep or a bit more, and they do fit. And the flat sheet is made wide enough for the deep mattress too. I highly recommend them - I have spent much more for sheets, and nothing has come close to these! They have a very soft feel on my skin, and are not thin or crispy feeling. Love,love, love them!
