OK, I'll admit that I have a Facebook account, but I know zero about how to navigate and "use" Facebook. I've been looking everywhere for a "report" button and can't find it. How do I report?
negative publicity and negative attention is still attention... exactly what he/she wants. best policy if you don't like what he says on there... ignore him.
Don't think that this "fan page" is just simple venting. Don't think FB doesn't influence people to violence. We had several kids beat up at a local middle school a few weeks ago on "National Kick a Ginger Day." And FB isn't just populated by middle schoolers with nothing better to do. It's mostly adults.
I reported the page as well but someone pointed out to me that Facebook has not shut down the group that denies the holocaust happened so maybe they won't care much about hatred against cyclists either. I think we should continue to report tho.
THe page I got to had some rather dated posts. Is it really that active a group? (I'd hate to revive it if it's dying a natural death)
Yeah, I reported it, but I don't think it's necessary. Most of the posts lately are from cyclists telling the others that they are stupid and can be arrested. I think the cyclists have taken over the anti-cyclists. It's kind of funny to read the newer posts.
Thanks for the heads up this needs to be pulled off Facebook.
Latest update
Facebook refuses to pull page.

and now there is this:

sheesh. So FB: If you can't get rid of them, start a group!
It's disgusting, offensive and makes my blood boil; but I don't have to look at it.
I do not think a person of sound mind is going to see the group and think "hey, those guys have a point...I think I'll start on a personal vendetta against cyclists." However, I do think that people already inclined towards that type of azz-backwards thinking are going to seek out other like minded individuals. What the posters seem too ignorant to realize, is that they are not making anonymous statements. Their names, addresses, and in many cases, photos are there for all to see. If any of the offensive posters were to actually to harass or cause injury someone, wouldn't a previous statement like "my car is hard and i am not slowing down" show malicious intent? There are watchdog groups that take this very seriously...the offenders are just making their jobs easier by posting their feelings publicly.
It's kinda like the moron who set up a FB poll asking if my president should be killed or not
I understand that the Secret Service may have showed up at his/her door :D As well as possibly the doors of anyone/everyone who voted "why, yes. I think he should be, that's a good idea!"
Yes, we have free speech in these United States but your right ends where my body begins. If you're advocating killing me or anyone else expect that to come up in the trial. Like if someone clipped or hit me on the road I'd be asking my lawyer to check their posts on FB etc. I'm not a "sue 'em all, let the courts sort it out" but if one of the participants causes harm to a cyclist and the page owner gets sued for rewarding/reinforcing/legitimizing such attitudes .... this could get very interesting.
