I drink copious amounts of water, about 192oz a day or more. That does not include my morning coffee and evening tea. :)
I too write down everything I eat. Journaling has helped me make adjustments as needed and keeps me motivated.

Congrats to all for your efforts!!!! Just want to add that drinking enough is very important. But not just water, drinking milk can aid in weight loss. No one knows why, but it does. Also I have found that we underestimate our caloric intake. I know it's a pain, but actually measuring your food may help. In our supersize society when have a skewed idea of how much food it takes for a 1/2 cup serving. Remember a serving of meat is the size of a deck of cards (or the size of your palm). We all eat too much meat, and that equals weight. I limit myself to no more than one meat a day, but often go for days without meat. I lost 7 pounds last summer by riding and watching both what and how much I ate.
Good luck to all..............and be patient.
