Lise - ah yes the therapeutic process of getting rid of old things. I recently found a box of notes and other various things from high school after we moved. I'm not sure that I'm ready to open that thing up yet and go through it :D
As for Plainfield, yeah that's far. But not impossibly far. You could compromise and meet in the middle much of the time. Or alternate. But I'm getting slightly ahead of myself :)

Prices are so bad here, that I literally can't afford anything. Can't even get a mortgage for a trailer (cuz the land underneath it would cost too much.)
And if the apts keep raising the rent, I've got a deal with my best friend that I'm gonna come live in her garden shed.;)

that bird story brings back some very sad memories that i have about some other animals hit by cars.. I will not share them so you guys won't suffer the flashbacks that i still have.

I hate when I find an animal- always a bird, that's still alive but quite obviously beyond repair.
I was driving to my ride meeting place Saturday morning, and there was a suicide squirrel at the side of the road, so I started gently beeping my horn at him (not like that really helps squirrels- but birds can figure it out!). Around the bend, as I was beeping, came a cyclist- he probably thought I was honking at him, like "What did I do??" Squirrel decided to go back into the yard.

I installed his thermostat tonight, bringing the hot side of his viv down from 113F to 86F. The first thing he did when he discovered it was climb the cord!! Tonight he ate his pink with no problem! He's so precocious and smart! I can't take him out tomorrow- I will miss him so much!
My bike may be done with her surgery tomorrow...

So Interview 3 went well. It was for an Administrative (personal) Assistant to a fairly prominant Financial Advisor. I looked good (I think) felt mostly awake, and was grounded/centered enough to answer all his questions in ways that provoked the gent to say he "liked [my] way of thinking" I'm excited about it, but after my previous experiences, I'm not really getting my hopes up too much. I like to ask a final question, something like "After speaking with you, I feel great about this position; do you have any concerns about my fitness for the job?" It gives a decent chance to counter any objections/curiosities they might have. He said, fairly enthusiastically, that he thought I'd be a great fit, and that I should hear back regarding the 2nd round of interviews. Sweet. :)
So there you have it. MWBR.
I had a bad day at work. Rephrase that. At the job. (I love my work, I hate my job) I love my patients, don't get me wrong. It's the politics that make me have conniptions.
So I broke my own rule, and spent BIKE MONEY on a bottle of red wine. Because I'm grumpy. And I need it more than the bike does. Costco. Concha Y Toro. Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot. Mutt-wine.
I need to get l@id. It's been a year since I got any. Grump grump grump.

I was bad and spent "everything else" money on my biking habit. OMG though, $120 rain jacket for $30. Couldn't believe it. I know, I'm bad. I shall be beaten, but seriously. Wow. Can't believe I lost my good biking jacket this summer, though... $30 idiot tax.
That and a semi-waterproof (originally $40) $20 trunk bag so I can go to the gym in peace without carrying everything in my backpack. I'm okay with it for shorter rides, but after doing the lats, back rows, etc, Kitsu's NOT going to be carrying ANYTHING on THOSE shoulders, thankyouverymuch.
O.m.G. Is that really adding up to $50? :eek: *hides* Bad paycheck to do that on. D'oh.
