But I like your steel gray and white hair :(
OK, you have an interview, break a leg. :)
When ALL of my hair is steel gray and white, then I'll stop dyeing it. But right now it's uneven and looks odd, kinda washes me out.
Hey, I just rediscovered the joy of a buffing-block. I wanted to make my nails look clean and shiney for tomorrow. Man, just a few seconds with the block and you've got results! Instant gratification without any nail polish to mess up!
careful knot if you buff them to much it thins out your nails.
I'll be good. The block has 4 different strength sides, and the instructions say to only use the 3 rougher sides every 2 weeks, and the vinyl-like shining side once a day.
I'm not organized enough to do my nails even that much. But they certainly do look spiffy right now! (I'm sure I'll get the job offer *just* because I have neat and tidy nails.)
knot- buy the xtracycle, you won't regret it!:)
KNot, best of luck on the job interview tomorrow!
Very cool, Knotted. When it's your turn for the carpool, I can see you pulling up at the school, 3 teenage boys climb on the back of the xtracycle, one bassoon and a cello get strapped on the sides, and off you go, whistling merrily and sweating like a banshee. :D On second thought, maybe you need a bicycle rickshaw.
Best of luck with the interview tomorrow. You'll be fabulous.
Have a good week everyone. I'm off to play with my chainsaw in the woods tomorrow. Back for the NEBC women's group ride Tue evening.
too tired to write much....
cannot focus on the screen....
more than 6000 feet of climbing today, legs very tired.
But I have enough energy to say...
Good Luck tomorrow Knott, knock em dead!!
Good Luck tomorrow Knott, knock em dead!!
TE TD, let's all remind Knott to take her nose ring out. They'll know she has one on the first day of work. :) :p
Lucky, happy, confident butterflies in red, yellow, orange, and a little blue to keep it balanced....You'll rock 'em!
I'm too tired to post much. DH and his partner placed 3rd in their race today. I've been up since 6:00, cooking, packing, doting, organizing, helping, rubbing soothing creams into sore muscles, getting people to the start line on time, teaching DH's team mate's wife how to be the support person, taking pictures, making dinner, unpacking, etc. Time for a shower and I'll pass out shortly after that I'm sure.
More stories to come, probably.
Hugs and butterflies,
~T~
Good luck on the interview Knot!
Glad the race went well LBTC! Also glad you got to go on a ride with some wimmen friends!
I need a new 'puter so I can use the software that came with my new bike 'puter...

Knot...I think i may have missed a post..what type of company do you have an interview with? I guess what i want to ask is, what job did you apply for?
Good luck kiddo!

Reminder to Knott, take the nosering out tomorrow :p   (TE TD, not nagging, she asked me to remind her)
35 minutes to launch.
And I remembered to take out my nosering. :D
you are going to do great!
I might have a new job.
I *do* have a new bike!
Will put a nifty little post in the bikes thread.
Congrats on the new bike.
When will you find out about the new job?
Happy floaty indigo butterflies sweeping in gentle arcs all around you....
Hugs & butterflies,
~T~
Whoo hoooo! Hope the job comes thru! Keep us posted. Congrats on the new bike too of course!
Should find out the details (hope for high $$ butterflies!) by the end of the week.
Congrats Knot on the new bike and the possible new job!! Woohoo! :D
Keep those butterflies flappin' TE TD
I'm so tired. Tired tired tired. Work makes me tired.
Rode Mitzi the butch-mobile (Kona Smoke) to work today. I'm gonna let SKnot choose which Kona he wants for his own. Hoping he'll fall in love with biking.... please please please.
I'll write a review in my New Bike thread. I'm so tired and hungry right now I can hardly type.
Spaghetti (rice noodle) cooking right now for dinner. Lots of parmesean....:D
Good morning all! No commute for me today as I awakened covered in a rash. My Honey has done all the laundry for the last 17 years but now that she's traveling for work every other week I've started doing it...apparently I used twice as much soap and softener as I was supposed to. So, I'm rewashing the clothes this morning and trying not to scratch. :p
Queen - is your rash gone? did re-washing do the trick? I sure hope so! Being itchy is one of those terribly annoying things!
Another sunny day in the Okanagan Valley! Yay!
It would be a great day to not go to work, but that is not an option! Later today we meet with our lawyer about the SSIL's lawyer's threatening letter. Lucky our lawyer is such a calm influence!
Gotta go find a picture to send out.
Happy day everyone! (You know who you all are)
Hugs and butterflies,
~T~
LBTC - Nope, it's all over my torso now and doesn't itch anymore. I'm seeing my doc in an hour and they had to reschedule my mammogram from today to next week (oh darn ;) ). Hopefully it's just something simple and I'll be right as rain soon.
Man, there is no-one around at 1:00 a.m. Whatchall doin'? Sleeping? Jeez...
I can't sleep. Downloaded a bunch of stuff from iTunes.
This time 14 years ago I was in labor. Weird.
I'm up. :)
I picked up from my library what looks to be a fabulous read. :)
Miss Zukas and the Library Murdersby Dereske, Jo. :D
I also keep playing the song Hallelujah sung by K.D. Lang's as well Jeff Buckley's version, since i could not decide which version I liked better. :p
Thank you, save the "you rock" till after I'm done :p
But I'm sure somehow I'll do every mile.
I don't say it often enough but it's true, I could not do the ride without this board.
Everything I know other than the stuff you just have to get out there and pedal but everything about cycling that you can learn from others....I got right here.
You gals (and the occaisional TE guy) took me from "I just rode 10 miles wheeee!!" to "I can just do easier metric centuries" to "I can do multi day rides". What's next? Stay tuned I guess.
My first ALC day 1 was my longest ride ever, day 2 was my first true century ever  What was I thinking? But I did better than I had any right to do.
The next year was really a pretty good ride for me, all but 10 miles of the 585 miles. So I'm looking forward to this.
I'm sure the same is true for a lot of us, that first Tri, first race, first bike to work ....
TE rocks. Long live TE TD :p
I get to do one of these.
Will they let me bring my Brooks saddle and Speedplay Frogs?
(if they say I have to stress on a treadmill, can I bring in Flossie instead?):D
I'm such a troublemaker...
I'm reading Ray Bradbury - Farewell to Summer.
I love Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah. I don't think I've heard KD Lang's. Must search it out.
Go Trek Go! I'll be at tent assignment again this year.
