Oh I know all about sockapalooza. :D
Oh I am sorry you are having so many difficulties. It will work out and it will feel like home, give it time. *hugs*

So I know we're off the gross foods list, but I just found my pic of the scorpions on a stick. I forgot about the seahorses.
"gross foods list"
I just had baked potato with cheddar and SPAM. Does that count?;)
Yes Knot, it counts. :D
Ok, I've grown up on eating stuffed pig stomach, cow tongue (don't like that one at all - it feels like it's tasting you back) and scrapple. (you don't want to know)
I've found a locker room with showers and a scrub dispenser a few floors below my dept. Easy access to where I can lock my bike in the parking garage. Also, it's right where my bus stop is in case it's blasting raining outside at the end of the shift. I need to claim a locker and look for towels yet and then the commuting can commence.
Wahine: eww
Knot: eww
X: cool! the new job location sounds really amazing. How is the job??
Hugs and butterflies to you all!

Ewwww - I will stay away from bizarro foods. The closest to "different" for me was Reindeer Stew.
I'm fighting insomnia this week. Can't figure it out, I wake up at 3:00 and can't get back to sleep for an hour or more. I was dragging at work today, then E asks me if I'd changed something? Why I ask..."Because you look so fresh and rested!" So, perhaps the "walking dead zombie" is my look....
My arm was especially sore today, perhaps I shouldn't have gone to my Pilates class last night. It was visibly swollen, my friend V brought me an ice pack she pilfered from the fridge. It helped, and I managed to sneak it back to it's spot in the freezer.
Snap - Are we related or somethin'? I haven't slept worth a darn this week, I keep thinking it's the new job stuff swirling around in my head.
Snap, why did you put your arm in the freezer?
When it hurts you have two choices: hot or cold (i.e. frig or oven).
Of course if you choose wrong it makes Everything Worse.
Tricky thing, Life
Please hand me a wakizashi. I need to commit hari-kiri right here, right now. I feel like such a clod at work. all my other jobs- fast, fast, fast, and forget the details. This is details, details, details, and eventually you'll get speed. *sigh* I feel like such a f*ckup here. Why must my life be this masochistic cycle of 'unlearn everything you've learned'. ...then 'now unlearn that and do this different' ...then 'this is completely different, so get used to this change, too'..
to learn to flinch when you see someone move quickly, break yourself of flinching when your partner feels hurt you don't trust them... learn to suppress your hopes, dreams, desires, then attempt to bring them back from the depths you've swallowed them into. Someone said "You take SO LONG to process things" but I don't. It's just that the muscle memory and shadows last far longer in my mind than maybe they should.
Just...
pass the wakizashi. CWR, take the katana, you can be my second.

Here's some butterflies to help you balance protecting yourself with being open to all that the universe has to offer. Been there, done that. It wasn't fun. Have Crohn's now. Hopefully your scars from this experience will not include a chronic and incurable disease! (but if they do, I hope it is one that, with patience will be manageable) :)
I am having one of those shaky, feel ravenous, can't stop eating and drinking can't quite think right jittery days. If I were a coffee drinker, even I would recommend that I switch to decaf!
mmmm Just snacked on a boiled egg, and then 3 Kootenay Krackers each with a slice of mushroom and soy cheese melted on them. They have not reached my stomach yet. I vow to do one more work task before I put something else into my mouth. I can do this, right?
Hugs and butterflies,

hugs kit. it will get better.
Life is neverending change. Change makes us learn new things, let go of old things (but learn from them), and grow....whether we want to or not! Life stops changing when we're dead. ;)
Then it's the cycle of corpsebeetles, hornets, maggots and wasps, then more pillbugs and earthworms, then mice gnawing sunbleached bones and mealybugs burrowing through leather, then decay on a more dirt-like level. Green lichens growing on and in the spongy inner sections of bone...
see, Lisa, change even occurs after death!
Such things are highly underrated. maggots are being widely researched as a way to reduce scarring and tissue loss from MRSA, Crickets and mealworms are a great source of protein...
mmm... *passes the tobasco*
leeches, maggots, crickets.... naw, I just need me some lemonade!!!!;)
I wasn't looking at the door.... ;)
(my mind is soooooo in the gutter this morning)
Definitely a girl lemon! :p
Good God. I just saw a lemon. just a lemon. what does that say about me? Then again, I looked at the guy standing next to it and thought "He's standing sorta funny..."
oh and Knot-
that'd be a helluva nipple ring.
sadly my first thought was the guy next to the lemon, then to the girl lemon. if i'm thinking like the three of you together what does that mean?
it must mean there's a hole in the side of that big lemon!
I want to thank you ladies - through this forum I am learning so much about lemon sexuality! (I didn't know the girls had green nipples....)
Man, I have searched the web and I can't find it. Mike's Hard Lemonade had a billboard in Canada that was a huge lemon with a piercing. That's it. Nothing else on the billboard except the product name, subtly printed below the lemon. Histerical.
D@mn I wish I could find it.
Anyone want to come and deep clean my house? No, I did not think so. :( I do not want to do it either. DH is one the who invited relative's to DS #1's Confirmation, so he should do the cleaning, right? ;)
Hopefully everyone has wonderful plans for the weekend.
phew! big day at the cat rescue. They are having their grand re-opening this sunday with three big walk in rooms for the adult cats. They will finally have room to stretch out without getting into another cat's personal space!
I can't go sunday because instead i am doing SAG support for 5 people who don't know when they should come in out of the rain or go to bed when it gets dark, so instead I volunteered today; I brushed at least 20 cats. It was fun. I found two I would adopt in a minute if i could. one; Horatio, a warm orange tabby with a low sweet voice, he is so loveable and easy going. He would be good with kids, cats, people. If you brought him into your home he would just saunter in and sit down. And Gateway; a black and white cat. she's the sweetest little thing, and is always happy to see me. She's about 9 years old and just wants to be loved.
and then I completed my bike to work week with 3 days of commuting. I took buses and rode to get to the cat rescue, so my car is just sitting there not burning gas. NExt week I may do even better.
I don't know about you guys and lemons.

That's the way my Lydia was when I adopted her 5 yrs ago. Just walked out of the cat carrier like she'd been in my apt. all her life. Pearl took one look at Lydia and had a hissy fit, then decided to spend the next two weeks on top of the refrigerator. When I moved, I had to put the other two traumatized cats into carriers to bring them to their new home. But Lydia?....heck I just slung her over my shoulder like a fox fur stole and drove to the new house. Again, she just started happily walking about the place as though she'd always been there, while the other two kitties cowered under couches. :D
Jennifer- how did the cleaning go so far? Have your guys all been helping I hope? Oooo I detest house cleaning! But with 3 indoor cats it's a necessity every couple of weeks or so or furniture would be unrecognizable under a shroud of fur. "FUR"niture. Shades of Meret Oppenheim's Coffee Cup....

Geez Lisa, that cup makes me want to spit..pbbbtt....to get hair out of my mouth! :D
mimi - I LOVE orange tabby cats. My neighbor had one, his name was Little One. When I'd go over to her house, Little One would drape himself around my shoulders. Such a sweet kitty.
I've bumped the Advil up to 3 at a time, along with an ice pack 3 times a day. Tomorrow I see my CMT friend.
Now this could be interesting
