Yup, now we're ALL moving there. :p

yes dar i'm still here. we had some good gusts last night, but not as much snow. the majority of it went around us. though we had some good drifts. there was a 3ft one coming up the driveway to work and another one in front of the office. don't worry i was good, i waited till they plowed a path for me, and then ken helped me in the building so i didn't slip. between us i think he wanted to drive my quad around to park it. ;)
still suppose to get some more snow today, but its warm out a whole 34*F, hey CC we have almost the same temps. to bad mine is in F and your's is in c.
glad you got more snow BM3 and hope you had some too X.
Hey there,
I'm off & away for the weekend. I'll try to keep cool but it's going to be bloody hot... Hope the waterfall is still a waterfall & not just a pile of rocks..
Ciao ciao..

Yesterday it was -15C here and snowing and blowing to boot. I gave up on going to the gym, since I don't shower there. I just pull some wool and fleece on over my sweaty gym clothes and hike home. It's been ok so far, but -15 + wind chill ...? Næh. Today, however, it wasn't quite so cold. Maybe -8 when I left work, and since I was at my usual campus today I had to hike home pretty much past the gym anyway. So today I did a 55 minute class, and when I came out to hike home ... it was RAINING   This is not a sign of Spring yet. This is just a sign of slush now and ice tomorrow when it turns cold again. Ææææsj! (That's yuck in Norwegian)
Dad called about an hour ago - mom's surgery went longer than expected. The artery was almost 100% blocked. I think she is a very lucky woman. I've had a good cry - nerves and relief. Dad thinks she may have to stay overnight at the hospital, but otherwise everything went well.
{{{{{{{{Oh Snap}}}}}}}
Glad to hear things are ok.
((((((((((((((((((((Snap)))))))))))))))))))))
My continued prayers for your mom. I am very pleased to hear the surgery went well.
Snap - so glad that you Mom's surgery went well and they caught it in time!
All my thoughts go out to your Mom that she recovers rapidly.
big hugs snap! glad things turned out good.
Glad your mom is okay Snap! (((((Snap)))))
Just peeking in for a second at the end of my shift...
((((Snap)))) Yes, from the sound of it, she is a very lucky woman. So glad to hear she is doing well. :)
(((((((((Snap's Mom))))))))
CWR - It's snowing again here and this time I think we will get a decent accumulation. I'm still not sure how I feel about it though. AG, OTG and I are planning a ride on the Conewingo Trail this saturday. I hope it doesn't ruin our plans. I've never ridden in the snow before.
CC - As I am a sun baby, please enjoy the hot weather for me.
BMo3 - So, did you eat ALL of the chocolate yet or what? :D
Kit - hope today was a better day. Give 'em h*ll!! ;)
Well, they are kicking me out so I'll see y'all later. I'm gonna go see if I know how to lock in my 4WD. :o
SNOW RIDING IS EXCELLENT!!!!!
Just mind your balance, don't try to stop, etc etc. ;) my 21st b-day present to myself was to take my bike and go riding in 3-6" deep snow all over Brown's Camp (on the way to the coast) Tons of fun. Bogged a little, but hey. That was in the 6" deep parts.
With your big wide tires you'll be fine. :D Like Snowshoes, I tell ya. :D
Careful if ya crash, but at least you'd get more of a slide action and less friction/gravel/etc etc
On giving 'er hell... I'm doin' the best I can with what I got.
Glad to hear your mom's doing well Snap. How old is she?
She just turned 79. I just talked to her on the phone - she's pi$$ed she has to stay overnite at the hospital. Cranky is normal for her, so that's a good sign. I even got her to agree she needs to start walking more for exercise.
:D I love cranky old ladies. Sounds like that's a good sign.
Yeah, it's a good sign. Dad just got home - he's "brain dead" to quote him. Fed him, gave him a glass of wine; he'll probably fall asleep on the couch in about 20 minutes. ;)
This is a helluva way for me to get time off work.....but I'll take it!:D
((((snap)))) and ((((((all of snap's family)))))
You better not be tooo cranky!
Non-sequitur: I'm eating almonds, and my dog is begging for them. he loves potatoes and almonds and warm microwaved carrots.
My dog is odd.
I had a Siamese cat when I was growing up who had a grand passion for canned asparagus.
My current Abby cat, Nina, thinks that the liquid from canned chick peas is beyond exciting.
PS Snap, my mom had this surgery some years ago and did fine. Best to yours--sounds like a strong character (why are we not surprised...).
Trek is as cranky as she needs to be. I think that's generally called feisty, but can tip over into cranky when provoked. Warning: Don't make her need to be cranky  ;)
Feisty is good! Even cranky is good! Especially in "old" ladies. Go Snap's Mom!!!
Trek: What was the undoglike snack that Koko was fond of? Was it almonds? Or strawberries? Or both? Or something else? Do you remember? I'm getting old and not only cranky but also forgetfull. :o
Snap, good to hear your mom did well. ((Hugs)) and best wishes to you all.
X - have fun in the snow and take good care of the other TE girls!
My Ted cat loves asparagus. Actually stole some from the dog's mouth once! The dog, to be fair, had no idea what he was supposed to do with the vegetable dangling from him mouth!
Our Diva dog is on call again this morning as she may be needed to donate a bit more blood. She's a little heroine!
Hugs to Snap's mom.
Cranky "old" ladies rule!
Hugs and butterflies,
~T~
Who was it that said something about it being old ladies' privilege and duty to be cranky. Maybe because they know more than the rest of us and haven't got time to waste on foolishness. Mom might remember. Trek, if you see or talk to Mom this weekend, ask her. I'm off to another spin class. Have a good weekend TE/TD ladies!!! Ittj gjør nåles (local dialect for don't get into any trouble).
Just got SKnot his b'fast (scrambled eggs with cheese, a sausage, hot cocoa) and now I'm eating mine at the computer.
The dog brought me his treat ball and dropped it by my chair like he's saying, "hey, put some eggs in here!" Cheese and eggs are even better than potaoes and almonds!
Trek wants to see my xmas tree, so I'm leaving it up for 3 more weeks! I win! (actually, the dog wins, cuz he's been plucking candy canes off the tree and eating them. I thought i got all the candy canes off, but he keeps finding new ones)
thank goodness for fake xmas trees.
Dang.. I just now checked out this thread. THis is where all the convo is happening..
Hey X - I'm slow.. you're in PA now??? I thought you were in Sac?
Snap - good to hear all is well w/ your mom. cranky is awesome sign! :)
xeney is in Sac. X is in PA - land of Wilbur Buds :D
Mom called, she was having breakfast and waiting for the doctor to come in. Hopefully he won't take all day, and she'll be home by lunch. Otherwise she'll be even crankier!
I'd better go email my brother in India again - just to be sure he's not panicky
Too many X's to keep straight; I feel ya, sis, I'll do my best. :D :D :D
*giggle fit!*
I'm giddy today. Too little sleep, too much sugar, too many plans, and too much time in between now and then.
Snap, glad to hear things are better. I want to be a cranky old lady when I grow up. Well... 'feisty'... not 'cranky'. I'm probably going to be 'b!tchy' to someone...
Waiting with bated breath until 11 when I can call the PITA (again) and settle things
working, working, working
trying to rub the knots out of my own neck.
Emily D!ckinson is my desktop today...
"CANDOR, my tepid Friend,
Come not to play with me!
The Myrrhs and Mochas of the Mind
Are its Iniquity."
And advisor shook my hand warmly the other day, told me he appreciated my frank honesty and candor. The above makes me wonder just a smidge if that was really a great thing. ;) :D
X i love biking in the snow. its so much fun. now is usually the time i get to bike alot, though we have had much more snow then in past years. at least this time of the year i don't have to compete with bears.
kit glad your in a giggle mood. good luck with everything. it will turn out just fine. (((big hugs))) trust me time will fly now that your looking fwd to something. believe me, i'm looking fwd to going back into town again, not for the second surgery and being drugged on v-day, but for the girl time that i get. AND i'm getting my hair done. always feels good to get my hair done. trying out a new girl, the one that does my friend's hair. her hair always looks great so we'll see how it goes.
ps kit - nice avitar.
happy friday! :D :D :D
So I'm coming back to re-located TD for the first time to find out how the heck Snap's mom is. We had linch last week and she sent me a PM yesterday and so I just had to check in...
BIG hug to Snap and Cranky Mama Snap.
Hi to the rest of TD !!!
Hello ladies! Eek - TD moved! I was wondering how long that would take.
Snap - glad to hear you mom is doing OK and is cranky. Cranky is good!
Cranky mom is home - not really cranky right now, just tired. I've sent her off to bed. Chloe is being a good nurse and staying with her.
Thanks everyone for your kind words and support, I really appreciate it!
(((((All of TE)))))
woo hoo! glad to hear cranky mom is now and she has such a good nurse.
Chloe won't let that lack of opposable thumbs slow her down, no siree!
Hi Fish!!!
Whooo Hoooo! I am glad to learn Mom of Snap is home and being cared for by Chloe. :)
(((((((Snap)))))) Sure hope your mom is feeling better.
(((((Snap's mom & dad)))))
