a headache after not eating enough? are you dehydrated? is your diet too extreme?
I decided to stay home again today - I woke up feeling pretty good, then it quickly went downhill. More Tylenol Cold and Sinus or whatever it's called. More echinasea tea. I'm growing tired of chicken noodle soup.
I don't know how to spell echinasea.
I've decided to give TD's new home a chance. As one who has problems with change, this is a good exercise. I will adapt and move forward. :o
I watched The Forgotten last night. *snooze* And that is my editorial content for the day.
I still have a nasty head full of....
but i'm at work and i took my bike with me. I didn't ride, but i have to get to the mechanic's somehow if i want my car back!
no drugs today at all.
My DH made chicken soup for me last night from scratch. It was really good.
I totally can't keep up BUT....
CONGRATS NANCI on your R12!!!
URGH...my commute took me 1hr...I rode in driving rain-that started half way through my ride & felt i couldn't just quit & hop on the train...Rain coming from all directions... I couldn't see well at all!!!
blech...Here I am trying to improve my morning ride & the weather decided not to co-operate..Rather embarrasing
My back feels better. Sitting with my back against something is still annoying but am working on core strength.
I adjusted my bike seat a smidgen smidgen & don't suffer the strange numb feelings in odd areas..
Why doesn't bike journal work in KM's???
HOw about an msn community?
rain rain go away..I want to be able to see!!!

You can get SEVERE headaches if you suddenly stop drinking coffee/caffeine.
I've had them (in my heavy coffee days), and they can be really splitting and last for days. Nowadays I mix my coffee 1/2 decaff and only have 3 cups a day or so, and it's not a problem.
Oh kg - betch Lisa's right - coffee headache. They are the worst.
Yeah I wondered about the coffee but I only drink one cup a day and sometimes I hardly touch it because I'm in a hurry. If I was heavily into caffeine I could buy it. Anyway, I was feeling a bit off all day, mostly due to lack of sleep and I had a bit of a headache but not bad. My legs and back are sore from riding though - boy it sure doesn't take long to lose it. Only a month since I rode hard....
Maybe the sudden drop in calories or sugar is activating some hypoglycemia or something...headaches are a symptom of it...
Coffee and a candy bar - that'll fix it!
ok maybe not....
KG _ you got me to thinking _ I can get Killer sinus headaches the day after hard rides at times - you mentioned your legs are sore.
Boy, we really dropped the post down when we moved? Or is everyone in bed?
The new location has some of the girls frightened.
Now that I'm brave and can go to movies on my own - next up is Pan's Labyrinth. It opens on Friday here, at my favorite theater. Yay!
I too would like to bemoan the move of TD. You see, as hard as it is for me to admit, I <tense moment of silence> am a triathlete.
At first I thought it a little odd that TD was in our forum. Then I was curious and tried to follow along. I have failed at actively engaging myself in TD, I simply could not keep up and I felt like a creepy voyeur. But I appreciated TD's presence, you made us look much more popular and interesting. The forum was getting more hits than it ever will without TD.
Now, we just look like the bunch of geeky, type A, heartrate checking OCs that we are.
PS - Triathlon was a great place to hide. Triathletes are too busy training for 3 disciplines to follow the lightening speed posting of TD, so I'm sure most of us gave up trying. Note: I did not make it around to posting this until a whole day or two had passed since the move.
I'm a triathlete, too. and darn near LIVED on TD.
I'm not a triathlete, but I play one on TD.....
Couldn't resist;)
and then there are some of us who can barely handle a bike season. I cannot IMAGINE how you can train for all those other things. Well, I can imagine how some people can do it, but not me.
a coworker of mine (male, single) showed me his triathalon training schedule.
I could not believe it!! crammed into every part of his day was all sorts of training events. I think he had a couple afternoons free in an entire month.
Blowing my nose.. drinking tea. ah, isn't this fun?
Ugh. First day back at work. This kind of sucks. Of course, my job always kind of sucks, so why should today be different. At least no one is running up to me screaming "we missed you so much, you can't ever be sick again!" I must've finally gotten through to them that I do not take that as a compliment.
I've got all the production work caught up, everything is either printed or printing. Really, a monkey could do this part of my job. It gives me time to play on TD.:)
I won't even pretend to be a tri-girl, the thought of running makes my knees hurt, and I swim like a rock. So everyone out there that does tri's - I salute you!
I hate that first day back after being sick. You either get "wow, you don't look very good, do you feel okay?" type comments, or you get flooded with work you missed when you were sick, or you have that constant lingering brain fog that makes you completely unable to multi-task or speak coherently for more than 30 seconds.
<stocks up on airborne, zicam, echinacea, and vitamin c>
and what about when they ask "so you're feeling better? " and you don't know what to say because you really DON'T feel better, but you can't take a week off because of a cold!
Hey when does this cold go away? I am tired of it.
On the tri front, I plan to do one before I am 40. I also plan to come in dead last.
BM03...you won't be last cuz I'll be crawling in behing you :p
There are rumors of snow! In San Jose! The city will grind to a halt if that happens.
Weather Underground shows a high of 49 and a low of 29 for tomorrow. Chance of precipitation.
"It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine"
So THAT'S where our snow is hiding! Send it on home to us here.
We're getting snow here right now.
I'm a pretty lackadaisical triathlete. don't have a clue what my heart rate is. Ever. The only reason I survieve the swim part is because of the floatie wetsuit. I kick BUTT on the bike. I walk the run.
Wooohoooo! I'm a triathlete! (sally edwards told me so!:D )
BMo3 if you come in last on the Danskin you get to cross the finish line with Sally Edwards and you get a basket of goodies.:p

KnottedYet "Wooohoooo! I'm a triathlete! (sally edwards told me so!:D )"
and she's right!
"BMo3 if you come in last on the Danskin you get to cross the finish line with Sally Edwards and you get a basket of goodies.:p"
woohoo, back of the pack is where the fun is! :D :D there are goodies??? where?
We had teaser snow today. I was already to gear up, snap into my XC skies and stand on the front porch and cry. But I live in town and people would point and laugh.
Just found out my mom has to have a carotid artery stent inserted. She's been having vision problems in one eye, along with some pain. After a whole lot of tests to rule out strokes, nerve damage, etc. they've discovered one artery is 95% blocked. She doesn't seem terribly worried - so I guess I should remain calm, right? This will happen on the 25th.
GWBush is making a speech, so I'm watching Star Trek Voyager. That's as political as I'm getting tonight! :)
