My morning ritual: wake up before alarm. Read until alarm goes off. Get up, start coffee and computer. Read TE and drink coffee until last possible moment. Rush like crazy to get ready for work.
today's early morning revelation: geez, I'm glad I don't have to mess with birth control! :D
Yeah, me too! that vasectomy in 1981 sure made my life easier!Quote:

Delivered an adorable baby boy at 3AM, then got to sleep for nearly 3 hours. Best of both worlds! Plus, it's raining here, so I have to go home and sleep some more! ;)
SK, Salsa, CWR, I'm thinking you you and your families in these tough times for you.
that's really good news about plan B since the state of washington Pharmaceutical board (boy, i think i spelled that wrong) just passed a ruling saying that pharmacists don't need to fill prescriptions that they don't approve of!!Quote:

Eeeeeek.
OMG. This is horrifying. THEY DO NOT PRESCRIBE! THEY DISPENSE! As a prescribing health care provider, it infuriates me that my patient might be denied medication that I consider appropriate and necessary, because of the (im)moral judgement of the dispenser. You want to prescribe or not prescribe? Great. Go get the education, sit for the exams, get the licenses. Until you do, it's not up to you to decide whether the patient gets the medication prescribed or not. grrrrrr.Quote:

Maybe us old gals need to go underground and buy some of this and have it available for those that need it?Quote:

I was thinking the same thing. (and remembering how the underground d*kes and crones took care of the unfortunate unready in the past)

Keep this up we may get TD locked....but....
I saw an interview with some guy, discusssing the new procedure for creating stem cells. If I understand it correctly, they take an individual embryo cell, not the whole embryo, and use that to create the stem cells.
This man's problem was, no one asked permission of the embryo to take something from it.
It's a freakin' zygote!
/done with my rant
I'll drift us away ... having done my part to drift us into this discussion!
I just watched Cinderella Man. What a wonderful story. I'm so glad Ron Howard makes movies! I love that exchange:
Reporter: "Jim, what's different now?"
Braddock: "I know why I'm fighting."
Reporter: "Why're you fighting, Jim?"
Braddock: "I'm fighting for milk."
What many don't know is that that world championship fight he won on June 13, 1935, took place three days after a very important day in my life.
Three days before, on June 10, 1935, Dr. Bob S. of Akron, Ohio, got sober for the final time, with the help of Bill W., from NYC. Together, they started Alcoholics Anonymous.
Cool lise. What is Cinderella Man about? I've never seen it.
