OT: oh, this is thread drift ok....joke
My neighbor found out her dog could hardly hear so she
took it to the veterinarian. He found that the problem
was hair in its ears. So he cleaned both ears and the
dog could hear fine. The vet then proceeded to tell
the lady that if she wanted to keep this from
recurring she should go to the store and get some
"Nair" hair remover and rub it in the dog's ears once
a month. The lady goes to the drug store and gets
some Nair" hair remover. At the register the druggist
tells her, "If you're going to use this under your
arms, don't use deodorant for a few days." The lady
says, "I'm not using it under my arms." The
druggist says, "Well if you're using it on your legs,
don't shave for a couple of days." The lady says,
"I'm not using it on my legs either. If you must
know, I'm using it on my schnauzer!" The druggist
says, "Stay off your bicycle for a week."
:)
now that's more like it...
...the weather is gorgeous today, 63 degrees, sunny, breezy. I ran my usual 2 mile loop, and it was easy. Felt perfect. When I got to one mile (as previously measured on my bike odometer), I checked my pedometer. It read .87. I knew I went 2 miles yesterday! I had run a different route yesterday, so I couldn't be positive about the pedometer, but it felt like 2 miles (well, no, it felt like 78 miles, really...:o ) Don't know how the thing got out of whack, but I adjusted it. Total of 2.17 mi this morning. It's a big deal, because I haven't felt that good, running, in a long time.
I wonder what role genetics vs aclimation plays in heat/cold tolerance.
Now to shower, eat, and ride to work. What a beautiful day! :D L.
PS: Yep, major weeping watching the IM DVD! Triflor, looking forward to yours!!!
