According to Robbie McEwen's tweets, the whole grupetto missed the cutoff but were not dropped from the race. However they were penalized with the loss of 20 green jersey points. Cavendish was in that group, but Rojas finished before the cutoff.
I never thought I could love a Frenchman as much as I love Voeckler. I loved that he yanked his earpiece out and decided to ride his own stage.
Indeed. Only 79 riders finished before the cutoff, so it would have been mass disqualification. The race for the green jersey gets interesting -- Rojas is within 15 points.Quote:

Loved seeing Andy pull off the stage win. Pretty funny that the announcers had Andy a bit "prematurely" in the yellow jersey...right before Evans kicked into high gear and keeping Voeckler in yellow for another day.
