Ummm, does it reflect badly on my character that I laughed loudly? :( :p :DQuote:

SK - LOL - was this in Moab?? Afternoon nap time ??:D
Oops see you are too quick for me. So it was Moab but not nap time.
Now THIS is mud....
Me and Bob(that is my bike) at a 12 hour race....
( i am not sure if the picture is going to work....)

rnrgirl that is mud! holy cow batman!
SK - i love all the still photos. they turned out really good. they crack me up.
Thanks! I'm bummed that I forgot to do more in Oregon. However, Bubba said he'd take me back at the end of October so I'm thinking. Beware when the gears actually start to whir in a forward motion.
Yellow was a collaborator. I may need a consultation with her.
Here I am in Nova Scotia.
Let's see, me on my bike... the photos are a bit of a challenge since I usually ride alone, but hey - I want to play too!
This first shot is an old one, from my cross country trip in 2002. As I was absorbing the amazing scenery in the Grand Tetons, I spent some time talking with another traveler who was also drawn in by the views. We traded cameras so we could each get a picture of ourselves: http://denise.smugmug.com/photos/44146-M-1.jpg
This one was courtesy of reflective glass on a very bright day in June as my bike and I were wandering near home: http://denise.smugmug.com/photos/74793251-M-1.jpg
And this (shadow) self-portrait was taken as I was riding home from work this evening: http://denise.smugmug.com/photos/87129537-M-1.jpg

I've tried for weeks now to remember mine as we have acres and acres of sunflower fields around here. They all are in bloom at the same time the TdF is running. Really gorgeous photo ops. Yawl will just have to imagine it.
Actually, I had a reason for having it with me today. Someone from Halifax, NS posted on crazyguyonabike earlier this week looking for pictures of cycling road signs from around the world. He is working on a fundraiser to get better cycling facilities in Halifax and needs photos. There are a couple of interesting signs here I wanted to get for him.Quote:

And SadieKate - if you get any photos of the sunflowers, I'd love to see them. I find them fascinating. Here's one in someone's garden that is just starting to open: http://denise.smugmug.com/photos/86328069-M-1.jpg (and yes, of course I had a camera with me when I was wandering on my bike on Sunday!)

Wow, that's beautiful. The fields are all drying now so the colors are muted and even turning brown. The heads are drooping and turned away from the sun. Even the safflower fields are turning to amber. Eh, cameras just don't seem to find their way into my jersey pockets on my road bike.
This was taken the day we flew out to Tahoe. We were all so geeked. I'd never seen snowcapped mountains before (well other than pictures that is!)

Well, it's a picture ON my bike isn't it?

Yep. That pretty much confirms it, you are insane. :DQuote:

Edited to add this picture: Me in a Jersey from Cari (Hi Cari)-see the lovely humidity?

What if the picture is sitting on your own computer? Do you have to add it as an attachment instead?Quote:

Nice pics ladies!
I will try and put one of myself. Hmmm...not very big.
even though it doesn't look like it, I was enjoying myself....just south of Margaret River, Western Australia - March 06.

SK - you're nuts! Still life. I'm cracking up in my office and people are starting to look at me funny.
The pics are great everyone! I don't have any of me on my bike, just standing next to it. I'll have to find it.
Okay - I did a thread search and found it. I will try to get a pic of me on the bike this weekend.
I don't have one of me on my bike, but I have this one of me after knocking over everyone else's bikes on my first century. Doh!

K.
I am enjoying seeing all of the photos. It is so nice to put faces to names. :)
OMG - I LOVE this thread! How fun it is to see everyone!
I don't have any pics of me on my current bike, but I'll get some this Saturday, I'm sure. Until then, here are a couple from our MS Tour last year. Keep in mind that the only things still current in these photos are my gloves and me! ;)
This one was taken over the head of the guy in front of me as he was riding...

And this one was by a photographer who was placed right at the top of the first long hill on the ride! (that's my DH making the face behind me...:p )

This is so lame of me, but I must finally ask - what is DH? Dear Husband is my guess. BF is easy enough - lol. Don't have any pics yet, but I'll work on it.
HA! HA! Those pictures are too funny!Quote:

Of course the first one is my Ironman bike photo, the second is on my old bike at a sprint. I hope this works!

I was laughing at this one so hard, my co-workers started to worry about me. They just did not understand that I came up with another explanaition for DH, which is very relevant to my hubby.
DH = Darn Horny (sorry for being so open)
Thanks, everyone. I thought "Still Life" was a great play on words. Yellow was a fun collaborator and V's Thom had some great ideas for new ones that we didn't put into affect. We still have to put his onto film, err, chip, memory card, whatever.Quote:

Hey, now we have a picture of the fishdr so BikerZ knows who to pick up at the airport but she might have to wear her bike shorts.
Just curious, BZ. Are you going to stand there with a sign and what name will you use? :D

ok, this isn't a very good picture... my helmit's looking a little *askew* but I'm wearing my Hincapie pink jersey - matches my pink wheels! :p
