No we're not old and bitter. :D
V.
Is that:
1) We are not old and bitter
or
2) We are not old and bitter.
LOL - for myself #1. For you - oh I guess #1. :) Someday I'll be your age and you can't be old because I'll be old when I get there. Bitter - nah. You're too sweet. I like my hat.

I know, it has been a whirl wind year! long story kinda short....
sold a house, moved, got married, bought house, moved again, went to hawaii, went to disneyland twice in 3 weeks, dog had major surgery day after christmas, my Dad nearly died and have had my mom live with me for past 5 weeks, working, commuting, dealing with 3 teenagers, cat, dog, trying to get parents house ready to sell, move them 2 hours from where they have lived for 26 years, and try to get miles in in between all the drama!
So I'm back! I'm here! I hope y'all can meet up with us at Casa Orozco in Livermore at around 7pm friday....got a shoulder, I'll cry happy tears! I'm doing well now.. last year sucked like a flat tire 30 miles from no where with out a spare or a patch kit.....~~giggles~~
No offense taken. Remove foot. It's licked clean by now. And you're hardly the only one who's never heard of a low-fibre diet. I tried ordering a special meal for two trans-Atlantic flights. "We have HIGH fibre," they cheerfully respond. Also low SALT (which I need to keep high, thank you very much) three varieties of vegetarian, three different types of Asian plus Halal, Kosher, and maybe a couple others. But LOW fibre? Never heard of it. I'm allowed to cheat now, tho. Makes things easier. Oh, and Trek -- I still hate soft-boiled eggs, so I count those as high fibre now. ;)Quote:

Any other group name ideas? Name contest? We can hold the contest and prize open for discussions as we ride and vote on the winner when we see the finish line ahead. Might be a good distraction from climbs.
Me too. But I've found that the HRM can be a motivator. At spin class on "standing climbs" I'm about to get back down in the saddle and recover, then I check the HRM and decide ... æh! I can go up another heartbeat or two, or I can keep it up at this rate for a few more seconds. So now I have a question. Should I wear the HRM on the ride? Or is that dorky?Quote:

Melody will have "my glucose meter with me."
Mel, can they integrate that with wireless Flightdeck?
I have no clue on my average speed these days, generally I'm slow but just seem to go and go and....but any time at any speed on the bike with friends is fine.
heh. I only wish. :)Quote:

So, tell you what ... if it's getting late and we need to hustle, I can sing and that'll get everybody else moving just to get out of earshot. ;)Quote:

what do you gals think?
Bikeless, we can sing Monty Python songs...."I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok..." should get the gals up the hill "aaack, get it out of my head!"
You live in California and you drink Starbucks????   :eek:Quote:

Slink, yep, Peets is best, and it's Lance's fave (bet they did not test for that on TdF). Peets even has a cycling jersey!
LOL! I didn't know I couldn't type d*ckason's on this forum!!
I didn't know Peet's had a cycling jersey! I need to check that out. Blaine would love that one!
Just started a pot of Garuda Blend as recommended by miss yellow (who participates in the smuggling of Peet's in Utah )
Sulawesi Kalossie all the way!!!
I don't see the cycling jersey any longer but they do have some Scharffen Berger chocolate, another award winning Berkeley product.
Here's the link in case any one just has to try Peet's. I know the coffee is starting to be stocked in more stores but if you don't have one near you, here you go.

Isn't this awfully darn close to Camp Parks?
4620 Tassajara Road,Suite C
Dublin CA 94568
Close enough :D
But there's a Starbucks even closer - right next to Fuzio's and a Cold Stone Creamery.
Hmmm, Lemon Drops, Coffee, and Ice Cream, what more could one want ?
- jo "moved out here for the Peet's Coffee, really" bob
Would you California gurls quit having so much fun!
Pssst...the Peets Aged Sumatra is the BEST after dinner coffee. When I don't have it smuggled from your oh-so-golden state, I have it delivered to my door (it only takes 2 days and they roast it fresh the day they send it...MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm).
(BTW, I expect some Peets and real beer--not this 3.2 stuff--when you come for LRRH).
But I'll continue it anyway!:p
I lived in London for half of 2001 and many friends came to visit - the only thing we asked was that they bring plenty of Peets.
I think we had enough Peets to last the entire 6 months, between what we "packed in" and what was brought by friends! Yum!!! Of course, I took up regular tea drinking in the afternoon - with a McVitties Biscuit, of course! - (when in Rome etc.), but there's nothing like the first sip of Peets in the morning...
BikerZ (halfway through her morning cup...)
I'm confused by all the dinner threads, but I think I'd opt for Italian over Mexican for preride (not for carb loading per se, more for the comfort factor), so I'm scooting over to AG's dinner thread...
