Gawd, the last time I visited WrenchBoy's Tatoo Parlour it took me days to get that tatoo off. Days, I tell you! :eek:Quote:

I'll be wearing whatever fits me at the time... perhaps the LRRH jersey (which I think I ordered but I don't remember what size or style... it all depended on my self-esteem at the time of the registration and it was a few weeks ago and I really can't recall if I was feeling optimistic or not.) I know this belongs on the "Body image" thread, but my weight swings up 10-15 pounds every winter because of the cold and snow and alcohol I use to deal with the sunless time of year.
OK, stopping now and moving over to the "Body Image" thread.... :o
Pizza sounds good.
I guess all I have to do is open my mouth and people will have a pretty good idea who I am. I dont think too many Aussies will be doing LRRH. I also have a big Australia sticker on the back of my car.:)
 I'll be sure he brings Baby Oil.Quote:

Pizza? Did somebody say pizza? I will be there! I am not staying at the Crystal Inn, but I want to come and meet all of you!
As far as IDing, I was thinking we could write something on our numbers like "TE Lifesgreat", in my case. That way, memory challenged souls like me can ID you on the course.
Oh, as far as cars are concerned, my Honda CRV has a "Tri Mom Swim Bike Run" rear license plate frame.
I vote for Pizza, tattoos, and adding our TE names to our number.... hmmm, what else? I'm just so excited to meet everyone! I'll probably try to find a picture of me and post that too, just to make it easier! If Caligurl ends up going, she's easy to spot; she looks JUST like her avatar! :D
Lifesgreat - do you live close enough to drive that day or are you just staying in a different hotel? ... just bein' nosy!
Trac'
No way am I going to remember individual details about cars. Bib numbers get covered up or the bib isn't even worn. I generally just fold mine up in a pocket because I hate the things, not to mention the holes in my jerseys.
A tattoo on everyone would be nice as well as something on your car that said TE.
I live in Utah County, about 2 1/2 hours south of Logan. Me, AuntieK and some others from our spinning class are staying at the Super 8. I have to head home Saturday afternoon, so I will only be staying Friday night.Quote:

Lifesgreat - Cool, you'll be right there too! Tell AuntieK (in case she doesn't read this) to add herself to the bikejournal list... that way we don't miss anyone! Its lookin' like its gonna be a 'regular TE reunion' - lots of people! YIPPEEE!!!
SadieKate, I'm not going to remember individual cars either but I don't want to put anything on the body of my car (scratches). Maybe I can find a TE window decal; that's probably a good thing to have around here too as I hope to run into other TE members at the SoCal rides as well! Sorry, thinking while typing
Okay, do I get TE or T.E.? Yes, I'm a goober! :o
Tracy
That's why I liked these decals. Not very expensive and can be made on the home printer. Make one for your friends.

Susan and Jeff -- car window decals to go with the tattoos? Another way to spread the gospel?:p
those are great but my printer doesn't print that stuff very well (has a hard time with anything but basic paper) How large are you thinking of going SadieKate?
T~
Pizza and tatoos?! I'm there! I'll see about printing out a decal for the 4Runner as well.
Jeff, aka Mr. Admin, just said told me to check back with him in mid-April to see if they'll be able to have car stickers in time for this ride.
If all else fails, we can just print out something on paper and tape it to the inside of the car window. Ghetto but effective.
Call me dumb (uh, not to my face), but why do we need to ID our cars?
Just as a way to find each other since we'll be in a hodge-podge of jerseys, on different routes and leaving/returning at different times. Just increases the odd of actually finding one another.
so we can find each other (since a lot of us haven't met before)! I think many of us will meet Friday at dinner but it would be nice to be able to identify someone we might not have met as a TE member :D
T~
So we know which cars to cover with shaving cream and Oreos:p . Also, if the cars are ID'd and the driver does something stupid, we won't "express our displeasure" with one of our soon to be friends.:eek:Quote:

Andrew and his friend will be MTB'ing while the girls are riding. Any suggestions near the Wellsville area for MTB?
Sandy is a bedroom community with most of its commercial activity along State Street and the interstate. This is probably the best Starbucks to go to as 10600 South has a freeway onramp. In Utah, streets are numbered from a central point. For example, if your address is 200 East 300 South, you are located 2 blocks east and 3 blocks south of "ground zero". The following Starbucks is located .77 blocks West and 106 blocks south of "ground zero", on State Street.
Sandy-106th & State
77 West 10600 South
Sandy, Utah 84070

This store has T-Mobile HotSpot wireless broadband
Internet service.
This store has a drive through window.
Please call this store directly for store hours.
Also, I would plan on at least 2 hours to drive to Wellsville from Sandy. You will have interstate most of the way, but the last part from Brigham City to Wellsville is non-interstate, canyon driving. It is a BEAUTIFUL canyon, though. Disclaimer: I am basing this on my vague recollection of how long it took me to get there last year. I live about 30 minutes south of Sandy and I THINK  it took me about 2.5 hours to get to Logan/Wellsville. Others may want to verify the time.

Lifesgreat, you are a much better Utah hostess than I! You're recruited for the Utah base team. I now work for you! :p
cindysue, you may want to call Starbuck's and check their hours (seriously). Business hours seem to be funny (as in strange) around these parts. When CyclaSutra came to visit, she didn't get coffee on her drive home until she was in IDAHO! 'Course, that was a Sunday and Sunday's business hours are particularly confusing to me.
You may be better off making a thermos-o-jo and taking it with you. Andrew can hook up an IV.
Re: the mountain biking, consult our local mt biking bible, Utah Mountain Biking! There is another one here, but it's not as complete.
Oh Yellow! I forgot you live in the Sandy area. I am sorry. You know that area much better than I do. I used to work in Sandy many years ago BC (before children).
thanks! I really appreciate the info.
Until June............
I'm more than happy to have you on board helping me! I suspect you are one of those natural born leaders ;) (I read your profile)!Quote:

We gotta find out where mmelindas lives so we can recruit her. Us Utahns (and honorary members from WY and ID) are TAKING OVER!
Eh, isn't that "pizz-er" to an Aussie :p ;) ?Quote:
