Sounds good to me. Where-ish in downtown Snohomish?
Never been there.

Seeing as the 19th is Fathers Day and my daughter planned something "special" I won't be able to join you gals. Have fun and let me know how it went.
I can't. I'll be there but at a shin-dig with Knott. Oh, she just said that.
How many of us can make it, then? Is it enough to make it worth going or should we reschedule?
Fred's Rivertown Alehouse is the place with the Mick Jagger fries. It's on First Street in Snohomish, which is one of the main drags.
I think we have at least 4 who said they could ride the 19th, but not sure if that has changed . . .
I can go, and I think MM_QFC was also planning on it. I can change it, too, if people want.
I cannot go. I have to take my sister to a cruise at noon thirty or something. bleah. but don't change it on my account.
Trek, they are SOOOOOO good.
I didn't see any objections to 10 am, so I assume that works for everyone who plans to come along. I think the same spot will work, too. Although I can't remember exactly where it was! MM_QFC, can you send me the directions again?
Thanks!
Y'all will get to see the Seven!
Hey! Beth! Can you send one of us your cell number, or something? We have to arrange when to meet!
Sure, make me have bike envy when my leg doesn't want to go full circle to pedal.
yeah, whine, whine, whine.
Yes, I would like some cheese with that. :p
Looking forward to seeing y'all and tasting these Mick Jagger fries!
well, if it is cool and rainy, then I'll bring my trusty Rodriguez and leave my Seven under cashmere wraps at home :p
When I had my knee surgery back awhile, my PT had me set my bike up in my trainer pre-op, even though I whined and whined. When I saw her @ week post-op, I proudly reported that I did get on my bike and pedal slowly w/o any resistance...she said, "good and you went backwards, right?" When I stared at her in response - she said she only wanted me to get the range of motion going, but that it was easier on my knee to pedal backwards - duh! I hope that you're healing quickly and painlessly now...
So we'll see you at that Alehouse, Beth, around 12:30-ish....yeah! We'll have fun.
Hey, I didn't know Salsabike got a new Seven! Looking forward to seeing it!
Weather for Sunday is looking good . . . fingers crossed.
Can anyone bring a floor pump? Mine is still in Canada.
MM_QFC, Salsa, and NbyNW went for a damp ride - it may be summer in some parts of the country. This isn't one of them.
They found me buying some tea in a shop across the street from the brew pub.
Yes, I had my camera with me. No, I didn't get a picture of the famous Mick Jagger fries. Guess we'll just have to go back. :D
Was good to see y'all, and hopefully I'll be back on my bike soon!
Way to go, ladies! I'm sorry I missed it.
I nearly fell into a carbo coma on the way home!
Between me forgetting my shoes, Salsa feeling a bit under the weather and the trail being overtaken by a massive fundraiser, we elected to keep it short and easy. Let's not kid ourselves -- the Mick Jagger fries were the main event!
Beth, great to finally meet you!
I can't believe I missed this. I'm here in Seattle until the 27th for work from Hawaii with a brand spankin' new Bike Friday. Oh well. I'll make sure and check these boards when I return in August!
Hi hulagirl! If you're around in September you might want to do Cycle the Wave. A bunch of us usually do that ride.
I'll be here the weekend of Aug 27-28. I read about the RAPSody Ride but 170 miles 1 week before my Disneyland half marathon may not be the best idea. ;-)
Anything else going on that weekend I should consider?
My husband and I were on the Centennial Trail that day for what was "supposed" to be a long training ride for the STP. After starting in Machias and going for an hour hollering HEADS UP!!!!!! about 50 times we gave up and went home. There were several close calls with people not even looking up where they were headed...one guy ran off the trail as I approached him and hollered "HEADS UP" in my best mom voice. :p
The rain didn't help, but we would have stuck that out... hordes of Canucks taking over the whole trail were just a little too much for us that day.
I wondered if you had encountered that group. Hope to catch up on another TE ride sometime if it happens.
Yes, it was the same group.
The ride organizer is a Canadian company, but that doesn't mean all of the riders are Canadian.
yes, we saw plenty of riders and learned that they were on their 2nd day of their fundraising ride, which started in Vancouver, BC. We had to also yell the same to alert many of the riders, as they had their heads down per the rain and/or fatigue. It was understandable and manageable as our short social ride that day was way easier than theirs!
Hope you have a fun, safe STP!
