I'm in again -- hopefully to a better result this time!
I'm starting up at 168.0. (How does this happen in a few days?! Ugh).
My goal --- 159.0 by 8 weeks.
Here we go all -- good luck!

Sorry, didn't ride in on Friday, so I couldn't get on a scale.
As of this a.m., 161. Better than I thought, but still a ways to go...
Ack! I completely forgot about this!!! DD had ear infection over the weekend and the flu. I'll weigh in tomorrow AM for an unofficial weight and again on Friday. I need the accountability!
After a few weeks of feeling really sluggish and unmotivated, I'm starting to feel like myself again.
Sorry to chime in kinda late, but add me to the list. Starting weight 149; goal for 8 weeks 140. Just can't seem to get the ball rolling, maybe this will help. My ultimate goal is 130.
Weighed in at 212.6 this morning. Happy with the result, but not so happy with how I got there. No training this week, I've come down with a nasty cold. But the sore throat has kept me from eating too much. Hopefully next week will be just as good, but down to training not illness.
237.5 for me today... Down half a pound. It would have been better had I not drank my weight in red wine last weekend at a wedding... Need to learn self control...
194.8 :d
124.6- a happy Friday for me today.
I will have work hard to stay on track this weekend in the face of many tempting treats at a music and dance camp.
Good luck to everyone with staying focused on the challenge!
Sharon
134! yay! I'm going home this weekend though so it will be hard to stay on track.
167.2 Slow and steady is my motto:D
136.5 this morning :) Headed in the right direction, even though I'm pretty sure my initial weigh in was a little high due to water retention.
Hopefully I can stay on track next week...I'm going to New Orleans for a meeting, and I've heard the food there is amazing.
223 - down two pounds :)
168.4
Still 134, but I'm thinking (hoping) there's some water retention going on here. Everything feels tight today.
167.4. Down slightly! Good enough for now. :) Having been sick with a cold for 10 days, I usually eat warm comfort bread-like food when I don't feel good, so it could have been quite a gain! Lucky this time! :p
I'm afraid I won't be able to get on a scale until Monday at the earliest.
But after today's food disaster, that may not be such a bad thing!
152 for me.
140 - one pound down, five to go!
Lynette
160.1 ... I'll take it :)
148 again... but that's all right! I'm very pleased with this year's progress :D
184 no change but I've been living on chicken soup due to a head cold :(
I totally forgot about this until today. 156.5. Ugh:(
No worries, folks check in when they can. Sometimes I forget, sometimes I wish I would forget. :)

153.5 lbs on Saturday morning. My weight fluctuates lately a lot. Weird.
M.
164.6
Enjoy next week everyone! Anyone have any good "weight loss friendly" thanksgiving recipes you are going to cook?
123.4 Seems like a bigger jump down the last 2 weeks than I expected, so I hope next week I don't bump back up....
will post some recipe ideas later today
Sharon
All right! Down 1.5 this week :D Official weigh in was 236! Woo Hoo!
This seems to be an exercise in futility. No change still 149.
163.4
140 this week - not good.
Food is good, but I need to exercise more.
This is the time of year that it is starting to get too cold to bike, but not cold enough to ski.
Bummer!! :(:(
Lynette
168.0. I weigh myself every day. I know I shouldn't but I do and I'm not going to stop but this week I have weighed everything from 172-165 what is up with that? Does anyone else bounce around that much? or should I just chalk it up to hormones and be ready with my "it was Thanksgiving" excuse for next week.
151for me. I will keep trying.
134 again. I'll try harder this week.
157 :) it's going in the right direction
I was going to post a couple of ideas /recipes for a less diasastrous Thanksgiving- maybe this should go into the nutrition thread? Anyway- here they are:
1. Serve pumpkin pudding instead of pumpkin pie:
Make the pie filling following your favorite recipe, and bake it without a crust.
Even better, use nonfat evaporated milk. If you're really serious, swap out the sugar in the recipe for a sugar substitute.
Use cool whip or a light whipped cream
2 . Skip the candied sweet potatoes with marshmallows- this is a little lighter:
Microwave 3-4 med-large sweet potatoes, then mash them and stir in
3/4 cup plain yogurt
Peel and cut into chunks or slices: One tart green apple. Arrange pieces on the bottom of baking or casserole dish.
Mix 2 Tablespoons brown sugar with enough brandy or whiskey to "melt" the brown sugar. Mix in about 1/2 cup pecan pieces or halves. Soak for 15 minutes.
Spoon or pour the sweet potato & yogurt mixture over the apples, then spread the brown-sugar / pecan mixture over the top.
Cover and bake in an oven or heat in a microwave
3. Instead of the really high cal green bean casserole,
Steam or microwave green beans. Add a few lightly sauteed mushrooms or onions, and top with a sprinkling of almonds for crunch
4. Cranberry juice spritzers, dilute about with about half sparkling water.
Those are a few things we do. Anyone else?
