Really, if you're going "insane," why not get the hi-mod carbon frame? Geometry's the same. ;)

No immediate plans since I just bought my Fuji in July. But would like a cross and mixte. I have looked a little for the mixte on E-Bay and Craiglist.
Agreed. I about died when a friend asked when I was converting my new bike (Trek Madone 5.2 WSD) to single speed or fixie. meh. hipsters.
My next bike will be either
a. a better fitting Cyclocross bike. Current one is too big. Maybe a Valkyrie?
b. Recumbent - would like to have that as an option to ride when my back acts up.
Very true, and I like the black/white/red more than I like the white/silver. (I'm a high-contrast person, I guess.) If I'm going to go insane, going whole-hog might be the better way to do it. It'd just be a question of coming up with another $2100 worth of insanity. :D
But you're a millionaire.

in brilliant blue with blue tape and saddle
or triumph green with white  saddle and tape
This http://bikeshopgirl.com/2009/10/bata...bub_step_xc_2/ is a cool looking bike.
...a Bianchi Milano in aquamarine with redwall tires, to use as a city bike with baskets/racks/panniers and to tote the baby trailer on errands. There's one at a local bike shop. Very yummy. My bike after *that* might be a mountain bike.
Ange, A Bianchi Milano decked out as you described sounds good to me too - minus the baby carrier though. :p
Next bike though may be a custom frame (steel). Spent a couple of hours at a very cool bike shop outside of Cleveland, OH that builds custom frames and it just seems like it would be the way to go as far as comfort and having a bike tailored to my needs. Letting loose of the $$ would be another story but I am considering it in the not too distant future. Of course a lot of research will be required.:D
That's what I'm thinking now anyway, however, when it involves bikes it is always subject to change.
I want a Yeti or a Rocky Mountain mtb. I'm still unsure if i want a dually or not..
A biker chick I know has a very very sweet Ti mtb...we're going to check out the factory in feb whilst in Vic...
A MTB. I'm not sure what kind. Not too expensive. DH needs one, too.

Zen, you'll be the red hot Dahon Dame on the trail. Just think of all the second looks you'll receive as you pedal by. ;)
A Luna mountain bike or 'cross bike.
Make that AND, not or.
I like Lunas. Alot.
While I like my current bike (Cervelo Soloist Carbon) just fine...I've been secretly lusting after the following -
2010 Giant Women's Avail Advanced 0
2010 Giant TCR Advanced SL 1
2010 Giant TCR Advanced SL 2
2010 Giant TCR Advanced SL 3
2010 Giant Defy Advanced 0
Gee...can you tell I'm a fan of Giants.......:D
With any luck and financial awesomeness, a Bike Friday Travel Tikit!
I just can't help it.

My next bike... is still in Switzerland!
Apparently the 2010 BMC's will be delivered to the US dealers in Jan-Feb 2010 - so the new bike will not come home for another two months...
I better start practicing some patience!
If they ever get our train up and running, a folder. I also have my eyes on a Cyclocross but I think I will have to go custom (mmmm Luna?).
I just got my dream bike. I was looking thru craigslist and found a 2007 Specialized Ruby Comp that had only 100 miles on a trainer. A husband bought it for his wife hoping that she would ride.... Price was $1500 (instead of $2200 in 2007, and $2700 in 2010). Wasn't even planning on getting a new bike, but could not pass up getting a bike that is much more expensive than I ever would pay. It feels like a rocket! Now, I hope I can keep up with the bike club.

By the way, how do you get a picture up under your name? I put a picture in my profile, but it doesn't appear and I can't find any instructions. It's boring with only a name.

I should have put the Austin Commuter rail. :p They have had the little cars and tracks for over a year but keep having setbacks. I see them testing the cars all the time but it is still 4-6 months from running. It would stop me from having to drive to work and only lets off about 1.5 miles from the office so of course I want a folder to get back and forth. :)
I've decided to seriously start searching for my next new mtb. I have a friend who'll allow me to try her XS Yeti to see how that size fits. I'd like to get a new one before our club race season starts.
We've tried everything to make my bike fit but it's just that one size too big & not getting there.
For anyone that's even thinking about buying a new bike...GET ONE THAT FITS YOU PROPERLY. We knew very little when we purchased our bikes a few years ago & settled for something that felt ok but wasn't the right size. It makes a huge difference & worth the effort to find that right one.
mmm yeti. i love my current bike (gary fisher supercaliber) but i ended up with it because it was their comparable demo for the Yeti AS-Rsl and it was on some kind of massive sale.
i would have gone with a Yeti 575 if money weren't an object.
Aggie- I thought you were waiting for the train to bring supplies or something :p
