The GP got the thermal, fleecy one for motorcycling (got it at a motorcycle show last year). It is too heavy IMHO for cycling.
I'm in for one. I like the buff. It's also good for folks with longer hair as it tends to keep things neater back there.
Me too.

I'm a buff addict, already own 3. But, I'll take two Amici buffs.
I love that video with the guy in front of the bridge doing the demos. Not so much of a fan of the classroom video.
The best way to wear them, though, is just around the neck to keep the incoming air a little warm (cured my EIA) or around the whole head to keep the ears warm.
thanks SK
Polar (Thermal) buff is great for riding in the winter. Lots of options--balacava, neck gaiter, various layered hat. I like to style mine like a santa hat--fleece end over my noggin and make a knot in the fabric end, flaps happily in the wind behind me.
The regular, microfiber version will get many more takers, though. Maybe if there's enuf cold weather gals, we can do a polar one later on. It would work for snow sports and other outdoor activities for those of us who live in colder climates.
My, you must be so proud of them.:D
I'll take one. It's about time I added some Style to my bike gear.
I think the AV Buffs would be the regular Buffs (though I'd buy a polar too...).
I've been contemplating purchasing the polar and or thermal polar for a while, and was looking for feedback.....didn't mean to confuse the issue;) I want something to keep my neck *really* warm in *really* cold weather, but that isn't too warm for biking. Hmmm...perhaps time to start another thread.
I think the polar buff is the one that is fluffy. That one is the warmest--really, it's too warm for temps above 25 degrees or thereabouts, so I'd prefer the thermal one (just regular lightweight polartec).
CA--I found the best selection at the Buff website. Can't remember the website address (buff-usa.com or something like that). Best to Google it first or you might end up bringing up a porn site.
Just FYI--I'm hoping TE decides to do Buffs in the TE logo or even just stocking them in other designs. I asked about it awhile back, but at that time, TE was going to hold off on seeing how popular Buffs would become. :-) fingers crossed that this thread will help push them into doing some up.
I'm in for 2! Can I ask about socks now too?**ducking***
Oh, yes!! Socks too please!!
hmmmm...if we keep this up, I'll get all of his birthday shopping done at once! ;)
~T~
Yawl are cruisin'! :p But you just pushed us to 81!
Socks!!!! Argh! I can't figure it out. Some will want light. Some will want dark. Some tall cuffs. Some short cuffs. Min of 12 dozen of each type. Seems like the best option is for somebody to develop a business plan and an upfront investor and maybe someone who will be willing to handle the orders, even at retail cost. Any volunteers for that project?
Yeah, the sound of running feet just got really loud.
Hey - Great idea - I'll take a couple of those things, whatever they are!
Also SK - count me in for label production and hyperventilation crisis intervention, as needed!
Boy, are you easy. Nice to hear your cheery voice today!
One for me please. Sounds like a great thing to add to my bike wardrobe.
I'd like one, too, if I'm not too late. Thanks!
Not too late, but stay tuned. I'll publish the order and payment instructions soon.
Miss Snap probably has the answer but I'll ask away.
I prefer to use PayPal but there are two issues I can think of right now:
1) Non-US buyers - Will PayPal let you send money to me in US funds? What's the deal? I just got totally confused on PayPal's site.
2) I know someone of you are not comfortable with PayPal. I will not take personal checks - just too much hassle, risk and delay. I'm sure you understand. So, what is the best method? Easy, cheap for all and no risk of bounced checks? I'm a PayPal user so I've forgotten all the other methods.
We'll have about 10 days to gather our down payment so speed is important.
Sk- I am in the US, but I think I can answer these. yes, you will receive the payment via paypal in US currency. :) Other methods of payments-cashiers check, money order?
I can take both of those to the bank and cash them without waiting for them to clear, correct? Sheesh, I sound like a moron. I just don't deal with those things. Don't ask me how I've managed to avoid them.
Yes. They are the same as cash. :)
Hi, SK!
Payment by Money Order is completely safe - it's considered cash by the bank.
I have purchased US goods from Canada using PayPal. PayPal then charges my credit card the US funds, and the credit card uses the exchange rate at that moment to convert it to Canadian funds so I can pay them.... :)
It's all good! Thanks for coming up with something that I can actually afford just this once...(it sucks having half the income we used to right now, but everything else about life is so great that it makes up for it!) and thanks for taking on all this organization and such!
Hugs and butterflies!

Thanks all,

PS - You wouldn't believe the absolutely intricate, complex and confusing spreadsheets I can build.
Yes I would!
I once turned the screw on my shimano pedals clockwise, while saying, turn it counterclockwise to loosen it. When I crashed, you should have seen the bruise on my calf where the seat hit it! But I can nest 7 if statements in an excel formula, and have even been know to use VBA, not to mention pivot tabling everything that can be summarized!
Hugs and butterflies!

Whew!
Glad you'd do a cashier check or money order, because I have no idea how to use PayPal or even, really, what it is.
I'll just crawl back into my cave now.....
I'd like one too!!!
If not too late will take two (2) and will pay for them anyway you like.
Thanks for the heads up. I really like all the cool stuff you can do with a buff, though:) I think I'm ordering 3 from the Buff website (and then, of course, my AV Buffs:))
I found one that's pink snowflakes with pink fleece - way too cute:)
I owe you a PM - work has just been nuts!
I'm in. I'll take 2 since I like having something on my head under the helmet.
thanks SK!!
Put me down for 1, please!
Two for me, please!
Linda
Okey-dokey. I'm taking down names.
Payment logistics are soon to follow.
Two For Me Pretty Please!
Yes, ma'am!
Put me down for 3........make it an even 4!!
Thanks:D
I'll probably get 5...maybe 7...I keep thinking of people to give them to.
I'm in for one.
