I ordered the pretty blue Triple S shorts since they were on sale and so many gals here seem to like them. Also ordered two pairs of coordinating socks. A little retail therapy is just what the doctor ordered! :D
I can't wait to get them and try them out. And I think it will be fun to have a color besides black. I like color!

Shebeest is making minor modifications to the Shelastic chamois for 2007. Just refinements, not huge changes. Otherwise the SSS short's fabric, cut, length, etc will be unchanged.
<b>Elite Distance Shorts are going away. Fall 2006 is the last season for these!</b> If you can't live without 'em, consider buying another pair sometime in the next few months.
For Spring 2007, the Elite will be replaced with a new short called the Ultra D. It has an upgraded version of the current SheCentury Chamois. Cari - you are right about the very low rise in the current Elites. The rise in the Ultra D will come up to a more typical rise, similar to the of the SSS. Completely different fabric from the current dristyle/dryline fabric - the new fabric will provide more muscle support for longer distances.

Just ordered my first pair of these, of real shorts for that matter. I CAN'T wait! The only shorts i have now are kids ones so Im hoping these are going to be AAAmazing compared to them!
I just wish someone had a better selection of plus size shorts at a decent price or that you can find on sale. I am looking constantly at different web sites for shorts and everything I find that is pretty and I like, never come in my size.
I need an xxl for now. I guess they think bigger women don't want cute stuff or wouldnt' be riding. :(

I just did a quick search on TE for XXL road shorts and bibs. Shebeest Triple S Shorts are available for $79.95 and Terry T-Shorts are available for $79.95. Some Louis Garneau items also came up on the search, but I wouldn't recommend those because they run a tad small. Also, Velo Bella items (including shorts) are available in a broad range of sizes, up to 3XL.
Or maybe you could try an XL in a line of clothing that runs large? If I'm not mistaken, Pearl Izumi Ultrasensors run a bit large and you can find them on eBay for pretty good prices.

I can totally relate. But here's a question: are you sure you need XXL shorts? I mean, have you tried on a pair of bike shorts in XXL? The reason I ask is that I find I typically wear a size smaller in bike shorts than in regular, everyday, walking-around shorts. Anyway, just a thought.Quote:

for all you ladies who love the Shebeest Triple S Short - for our winter here in Australia, my favourite tights have been the Shebeest Tech Tights which are exactly the same fit & style as the shorts, and with the same chamois, but in slightly heavier weight fabric and longer legs of course. The Smalls were a little larger than most other smalls I've used, but I suspect the XS would be a bit too tight. They fit great except on the back of the legs they bunched just a bit unless I kept them pulled down pretty well. The chamois seemed very good. They were a little longer than what I'm used to wearing (I am only 5'2.5"), but I still liked them quite a bit!

I don't know if you've got REI handy, but for shorts, basic black is handy, and they have a "house brand" short that worked for me until very recently in size XL -- recently I discovered that the Shebeast and Pearl Izumi in XL will do, and I couldn't even hope to put them on last year.
(on the other hand, shorts of the "baggy" sort, well, we just won't even go there!)
The jerseys, though -- tough to find anything that looks good yet! They don't seem to be building them so they'll fit on dainty shoulders when they fit on broad beams!
