I had the Modolo Venus handlebars installed last week and yes, they really do work! I can now reach the brake levers from the drops. I tried them out on Vail Pass, Co. and I made it down without feeling that if I let go of the levers. I'd not be able to reach them again. Actually, I can reach the levers with 3 of my fingers, pinky is too short. The reach to the hoods is also shorter, good for my short arms, brings the brifters closer to me and centers me better over the bike.
They are very comfortable, not sure if that's due to narrower width or design of the bars. I had to learn some new hand positions, the old ones put my hands to sleep.
The bike even handles better, which is due to the narrower bar.
My bike looks better, the bars are more in proportion with the size of the bike!
These bars are definitely going on my new Serotta!
