They worked their magic, and somehow I now have both video and audio!! Never had audio all day!
Got to track Denise through the swim- by going to the old IM live site that I still had up, and clicking on 2006 coverage now available. No bike result yet. Her cousin called to say she had passed them at 2 hours and something- but I'm not sure if that was the halfway mark or not. If so- she's doing very well!!

(I was out planting my first magnolia tree, a DD Blanchard- to replace my poor baby tangelos and tangerine that didn't make it through the freezes. I should have known better, but I had high hopes!)
Michellie Jones is still in the lead. I want to say by 5 minutes. Men have made the first run loop- Smith, Lovato, Chabaud and Demeulemeester. Tim Deboom is now in 6th.
Here's a shot of Michellie coming into T2.
Yay! I finally got it to work. Kind of.
Anybody know if Denise is off the bike yet? They don't have her bike time posted yet on "Track an Athlete".
I just got a call, she is on her second loop, projected finish time of bike leg is ~5PM Arizona time. My source will call as soon as she's in T2. Cut off is 5:30. Now might be a good time for special prayers!!

Yay - thanks for the updates!!
Michellie continues to cruise along
She's now 10 miles away from her second Ironman title. She just went through 16.2 miles of the marathon.

Lovato opens up some space!
Spencer Smith's charge appears to have stalled. Lovato has managed to gain some time on Smith.
Here are the splits:
MICHAEL LOVATO (#2) leads the men's field.
* SPENCER SMITH (#7) at 1:25
* TIMOTHY DEBOOM (#6) at 6:00
* SERGIO MARQUES (#3) at 11:30
DeBoom is now all alone in third ... we'll have to see if he has enough time to make up the ground on the men ahead.

If Michellie Jones wasn't in this race ...
It would be quite close right now!
Through 10 miles, JONES (#58) leads, and behind her we have an incredible battle shaping up:
Behind her are:
* DESIREE FICKER (#56) at 20:31
* HEATHER GOLLNICK (#64) at 21:18
* HILLARY BISCAY (#77) at 23:25
* TEREZA MACEL (#79) at 27:36
What a close race!
MICHAEL LOVATO (#2) won in 8:20:56
Second was * SPENCER SMITH (#7) at 8:22:56
Third was * TIMOTHY DEBOOM (#6) at 8:27:39
Fourth was * SWEN SUNDBERG (#28) at 8:30:07
Fifth was * SERGIO MARQUES (#3) at 8:31:26
Good thing I wa making dinner and missed it...
Michellie's splits
Swim: 52:57
Bike: 4:59:49
Run: 3:15:30
Michellie spends the day alone!
"Almost every Ironman I've done I've done by myself," Michellie Jones said to the crowd here. "I'm getting used to that."
Michellie wins
Michellie Jones has done three Ironman races. She's won two of them, and finished second in the other.
Her time today: 9:12:53.

And I missed that, too- in the bathtub, she finished 20 minutes sooner than I expected! Let's hope that's a trend for everyone!
By what Nanci's written about the bike time, I can see that my estimations were off. I thought she'd be off the bike by 3PM CST. Any guesses? I am seriously impaired with respect to linear time. :rolleyes: L.
Results show that she is off the bike and in T2 right now
9.5 hours to finish bike based on Denise's post the other day. She estimated 2 hours for swim, 7.5- 7 3/4 on bike. So based on 10am EST start, that would be 7:30pm to finish the bike. So she should be on her run now.
(If I figured everything correctly).
Sending smooth and easy transition energy her way. :D :D :D
