The numb foot is still numb. Rode on the trainer yesterday and it felt weird. Didn't really hurt. Just that pins and needles feeling. I'm sure by mile 45 on Saturday it's going to hurt, but it wasn't too bad last week, so I imagine I can deal with it. If not, that's the beauty of the SAG wagon. :)
Weather is now at 50% chance of thunder storms. I'm sleeping in.
40% chance of rain for us in Solvang
60% for you guys at Cinderella.
Not liking either of these.
shhhhhhhhh...... stop it!
Somebody is not chanting . . . . . !
weather.com is calling it 60% chance of showers and windy as all-freakin'-get out. I will chant. :)
I'm chanting, I'm chanting...!
All packed (well, my bike stuff, not my "normal person" stuff). Making a Noah's bagel run on the way to Baldino's house tomorrow. We should be in Solvang by 3. I will be continually making sacrifices to the weather gods. Anyone know any virgins I could sacrifice? ;)
I'm chanting on your behalfs (sp?) I did a Cindy in rainy VERY cold weather and it took me all day to get warm. Looking back it was a great adventure though (now that I'm warm and toasty again ;) ).
Rain, rain, go away.... come again another day.... la la la...
T~
ps. chanting for the Solvang ladies as well ;)

::: looks around ::: nah, I don't see any around here. Will the weather gods take chocolate? :p
Well, if we have to deal with weather, chant "showers"!!!!!
The wind shouldn't be too bad as we are fairly sheltered. Just a good crosswind, but a tailwind coming back!
You all in Solvang have quite a challenge ahead of you. Mucho luck to you too!!!!!!!!!!!
I bailed out on the Cindy early this morning when the weather report predicted high winds and chance of thundershowers.
Thinking I shouldn't be a complete slug, I headed out from home later in the morning on an easy 25-mile loop. It was sprinkling a bit, which was no biggie, but what got to me was the strong, gusting wind. After only a few miles I decided "OK, enough of this!" and headed back to my warm, dry, and decidedly not windy home.
Those of you braving the weather on the Cindy and down in Solvang, my hat's off to you. I just hope it's not so bad where you are.
Awaiting tales of your adventures!
- Jo.
Weather in Solvang looks better than Dublin. Both have 15 mph winds, Dublin is now showing 80% chance of thunderstorms; Solvang is only 60% chance of rain.
snap "snuggling with the dog" dragen
The weather up here is just like it was for the Cinderella in 1998. It started hailing as I was putting the bike back in the car that year. I thanked my lucky stars for the good timing. That was the first year I rode that distance by myself. Finishing in that weather and in good shape did wonders for my confidence as a cyclist. I'm wishing the best for all those out there in the winds.
