Slinkedog,
How are you still liking your SMP? I see that it comes in different widths and the basic model, TRK, looks like it would be wide enough for my arse. (I self measured but am going to a professional butt measurer on Monday for a proper reading) How are your sit bones and soft tissue holding up? I am on a desparate search for a comfy saddle and would like a happy tush as well. Looking forward to hearing your update.:D
Hey Boulderbliss! I just got back from a 43 mile ride and I'm still happy. My tushie is sore, but I'm still working up to many miles in the saddle. However, the girly bits don't even feel like I went on a ride, so I'm very happy!!
I may have to try this saddle out. I'm beginning to pinpoint where the ouch is - definately the soft girly bits. Where'd you get your Slinke?
Blaine got it for me online for Christmas... I think bikemania.biz has it for around $75. The TRK model is the only one that's women specific, I think. It's the cheapest, too.
Thanks for the update, Slinkedog!
I just purchased one from a U.K. seller on eBay. It is the ladies TRK model, brand new, and he is shipping it airmail to me for a total of 27.99 pounds, which is only $50.57 U.S. through Paypal! His auction says U.K. sales only, but he emailed me and is willing to ship to the U.S. He has 17 of these saddles left. For those interested, here is his auction listing:

I'll report back, hopefully with happy tush news:D , after it arrives.
p.s. He also has these in the male models in case anyone's hubby wants one.
That's a great price! I really hope you like it and I'm looking forward to the tushie report!! :)
Bikerz,
Can I please ask your advice as it seems that your tush is as delicate as mine!:)
I have done most of my riding on an old Avocet O2, and always felt that I could be more comfortable. Mainly pressure in the perineal area when I get a bit more aero.
I recently bought (at great expense) a Selle Italia Lady Gel flow and really haven't noticed any great improvement. And if anything I have less room for leg expension than on my old saddle.
I gather from this forum, it really is a bit hit and miss finding the right saddle but it can be an expensive exercise as return policy doesn;t allow you to really get a good feel for a saddle.
This a long winded way of asking your opinions on Selle San Marco Aero and Atola. Both are being offered on Ebay at a more reasonable price than Australian retail which is HORRENDOUS.
Do you think the women's specific offer anything more than marketing?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Anyone have any updated reports on how they like their SMPs?
OKay you guys have me totally confused. Are you talking about the Selle SMP strike that costs $219??? I can't find a WSD on this, the ads only talk about testicles and stuff. ???
It's the Selle SMP TRK Lady model. For some reason they don't show it on the Selle SMP site. I got mine from Masherz.com, or I know bikemania.biz carries it as well. I got mine for about $70.00 If you google the words above you should be able to find it. :)
I just ordered one from the eBay link, thanks for posting it! If it doesn't work out, I bet it won't be hard to find a new home for it...

Here's a good site with big pictures of the Selle SMP Lady

I think I'm going to buy it. I feel sorry for the guy in the UK, but saving $25 is worth it!
-Robbin :D
I hope mine gets here in time to try it out next weekend.
Poor Lava is in the shop till Wednesday getting new tires and bar tape. I miss her...Maybe it's like going to the spa, though.

I just ordered after confirming he'd send one to me. They're going fast everyone! Still cheaper than Masherz even with the horrid exchange rate.
