I'd hoped to get some with the fall color as a backdrop, but if it doesn't get here like...NOW, then that won't be possible. Grr...a vibrant red bike would look so much better against colorful leaves than it will against brown, brown, gray, and brown.Quote:

Indeed it is. My sister drove us out to Island Lake State Park where I frequently ride and the colors were beautiful. The park had a lot of people cramming in rides and being outdoors on this beautiful warm fall day. I looked with longing at riders both on the road and trail. We did stop at a couple of places and we got out for a walk and found a couple picking mushrooms and a kayaker gliding down the river. Well if I can't ride at least the next best thing is to be in my haunts and strolling around. Great therapy! Wonderful sights, sounds and smells of fall. Recupperating can have it's own rewards, being on the bike is more involved and slower than riding in a car but being on foot is even slower can be even more introspective.Quote:
