This one? http://seattlebikeblog.com/ I'd contact Recycled cycles. Folks bring in bike to sell used. They seem good about checking if this is really the sellers bike. But if the person is not familiar with bikes they could at least try to bring it in and they should know to watch for it. If we go by Counterbalance tomorrow I'll ask them to watch out.
no, the two neighborhood blogs; the beacon hill blog and the Rainier Valley Post blog.
i can send it to that one too.
This is terrible Mimi. Have you posted in Craigslist? I see that type of announcement (stolen bike) on occasion.
It's a good idea to post that to Craigs but when my bike was stolen (much less valuable than Don's) I thought "if I post an alert the thief will avoid Craigs and sell elsewhere; Flea market, Pawn Shop ... I'll never get the chance to spot the ad."
With everyone watching I'd WANT them to post to Craigs. Maybe someone here will see it.
But maybe I'm just sneaky that way.
Also do we have the great and good folks of bikejournal on the trail too?
This really sucks   Hopefully with all of the watching eyes Katrina will soon be home.
I'm sorry. I hope you are able to get it back.
I don't even know what to say. That REALLY sucks. A pox on the person who would do such a thing:mad::mad::mad::mad:
What low behaviour. Hopefully they will be picked up as soon as they try selling it. If you can post any blog links that do cover the story, I will happily link to them from my facebook/blog - I have a few fb friends in Seattle who I'm sure would keep an eye open.
No link needed. I'm not waiting really although I'll ad it if one appears.
I posted a blurb about Katrina to my FB yesterday with a brief intro for those who don't know Don of who he is and what he's going through. Uploaded the pictures of the bike. Alerted family, friends in cycling community and asked all to share. Let's make this bike viral
I hope so! Zac, owner of Seattle's Cascade Bike Studio just emailed me. They will keep eyes and ears open for Katrina at his shop.
I can't believe how unfair this is; like you don't have enough on your plate to deal with already. I wish there was something I could do.
