I've seen them being ridden on the Markleeville Death Ride. :p
I've seen one (or something very like it) out on the trail this summer. It's a head-turner, for sure.
I have been passed by two on separate occasions. :cool:
We saw one out in BFE on a ride, one time. I don't totally get it. They are not cheap. I'd much rather have a bike.
I knew someone who had one of these about 6-7 years ago. Since then, I haven't seen any, until the last month or so. All of a sudden, I've seen a few riding around Concord, mostly near the center, on flat roads. Last Saturday, we saw a couple of guys riding them, in the late afternoon. We both commented about how the heck could you stop, descend, or climb? They look awkward and dangerous to be on the road.
