oh Pax, that's good. Last night Raleighdon said, hmmm God isn't helping Tim Tebow today..

Jeez, I don't know who was laughing harder, me or DH.
That is awesome, Pax.
I kind of thought that might be the case as I caught the end of the game last night. Normally with the score so high the winning team takes starters out, runs the ball ...
it looked like they were trying for 10 - 80 New England. :D
A statement? Ya think? Mmmmaybe.
I am not anti-religion either in fact, I'm on the way to my congregation in a bit but I feel IMHO that if there is a G*d she has other things on her mind. ;) World peace, global warming, disasters, hunger, poverty ... a lot on her plate, busy busy busy. Football? G*d's not watching it.
One sees players praying after a game. I can understand that "Thanks. I can still feel my feet" but to credit G*d for a win?
C'mon, it's a game!
I will now take a knee and be thankful "I was not hit by anyone doing the half-time run for more beer"
I am so eternally grateful to be married to someone who knows as much about football as I do - which is very, very little. I'm sort of annoyed that the world is talking about Tebow so much that I know who he is:rolleyes::rolleyes::p
My nephew is a huge Broncos fan so I texted him a few weeks ago to ask who is the Tebow person I keep hearing about and do we like him? Nephew responded with several enthusiastic texts about how he was a huge fan of Tebow in college, was super happy to have him on the Broncos, Tebow brought a new style of quarterbacking to the NFL, etc etc. He never once mentioned the religion thing.
Anyway I'm sure he's disappointed today. But the Giants are his #2 team -- when he was a baby, my sister used a Giants duffle bag for a baby bag -- so we still have something to hope for, at least for a few more hours...
Sky is gray, it's raining off and on. I might not do a ride at half time during the 9'ers game today.
I just was at the local track and walked/slogged (very slow jogging) 2 miles. The place was nearly empty. Normally on a weekend a half dozen are on the track while a couple of soccer games are nearby.
I don't think that was the Pats vs Ravens as much as the soggy soccer field and track.
