OMG. Girl you are very very brave. I just don't have any words to say about such a ride. Amazing what you all do with 2 wheels.

I also really like exploring new climbs :) But I've done all the major climbs around here several times.
Great when you come and visit I'll take you to ATT ;)
Thank you. Everybody can do it with a little practice :)
While watching the video I noted that there seemed to be a good amount of growth between the trail and actual edge - I would find that comforting :) We certainly don't have trails with THIS kind of exposure in central Indiana, but am getting better at focusing on the trail itself and ignoring what isn't the trail.
At some point are you able to enjoy the scenery and still focus on the trail/obstacles? I assume the answer is yes
HOW can you if you might hit a rock? or even a branch.. ?????
You do get better at looking around, but still need to keep the focus on the trail :) What does happen is that you start enjoying the trail more as you get more relaxed. One of the secrets is to look ahead, pick your line and not concentrate on the stuff that is already under your wheels.
side tangent - every time I see this thread I think it says "post a video of you while crying". Not sure what that says about me though. :)
I'm always taking the video, so I only have video of my family while they are cycling. Now crying, that I could get you some footage of. :D
we made a video. I have to figure out how to share it. It's just a casual ride :)
i'm frustrated all ready trying to change my avatar. I've made it 1" and it still will not show up correctly. The one that is appearing, I've deleated it and it still shows up. I don't get it. I have a vimeo account but never used it.
i have youtube but can't figure out how to get it uploaded. my husband put it on a DVD for me but I can't figure how to save it in my computer. And it's a mac. Sure, should do everything but spit 100 dollar bills. Ya right.
Here's yesterday's climbs. I managed to find four roads in Folsom and El Dorado Hills that I haven't shown yet. I had to use the footage from the handlebar-mounted Kodak Playsport because of an incorrect angle on the Contour's helmet mount. It was too high and pointed to one side, which caused almost all the footage to be useless.

Here's the only footage from the Contour that was viewable. This is me living up to my username by climbing a 100% grade-of the artificial rock type. :p:D This was at the Folsom Cyclebration cycling expo in Folsom City Park.
