Number one on my list in Denmark. There's a scenic highway that circles the whole country and it's a really bike friendly place. I spent a fall semester there and will definitely go back in the summer someday, and definitely with my bike.

I've been looking into Vietnam and Cambodia, it would be great if I can figure a way to make it happen. I keep looking at tour companies (so$$$$) vs. doing it ourselves. Since Cambodia's only been doing the tourist thing for a small amount of time, I'm thinking I'd feel more comfortable with a tour. Either way, I hope I can make it happen somehow! I've also heard great things about biking Iceland!
DH and I are talking about a jaunt across Missouri on the Katy Trail next October. Done right with much wine tasting and sight seeing, that should take about 2 weeks. (There, I said it, now I have to do it.)
But for my dream vacation - two weeks - I want to ride close to Big Scary Water. Nova Scotia? Vancouver & the San Juan Islands? Down the West Coast of the US? Heck, I'm not proud, I just want to see Big Scary Water (says the child of the desert).
This :)

('tho I suppose it would take me more than 2 weeks...)
Hey snowtulip..if you want to cycle from vietnam to cambodia, try Intrepid travel-they do small group tours and are a great co all round..(went with them to climb the rice terraces in the philippines). Also, oxfam does the same however you raise the $$$...and it all goes to charity.

Thanks CrazyCanuck, I'll check them out! I've been e-mailing with Handspan and they offer some great affordable options (I also like that they are local, environmentally friendly, and work with local communities). Fingers crossed that all the stars line up correctly to make this happen.
Hey snowtulip...Intrepid uses local transport and has great rapport with the local community. I can't say enough good things about them. They're an australian based company too which i like. I'd love to bike from Vietnam to Cambodia...but i've been there already and would like to do something different.

I get intrepid's newsletter in my inbox every month and think "I wanna do that, and I wanna do that, and I wanna..." :D
Two weeks of cycling in the Loire Valley (France) would be awesome. Or, perhaps down in the Cote d'Azur be even better.Quote:

That is 2 weeks each year, right?
Yes. I did a two week trip to Austria and Germany without my kids and missed them terribly hence the homesickness.
OOoohhh JoBob! That's it! I want to go! The North Sea, Big Scary Water, countries I haven't been to yet (and a few I have.)
Now to find a way to pay for it. (Um, don't I remember that someone else would pay for this?)
On the bright side, this work overload I suddenly have could pay for a trip like that - if I didn't have other expenses in my life
