Rock on, CC. Glad you had a good race this time around.
That ocean, she's fickle. And big. And you and me and even oil tankers only have illusion of control. But it's great when she plays nice, yeah?

Well done CC!
Mate you are very brave to go out in the water at the moment. The winds over the last couple of weeks have been so strong that I don't even want to go out on my bike. I am very impressed.:)
Tangentgirl-Yup..The ocean can be quite evil at times but oh it's wonderful when it plays nice :D
In Perth, it depends on the beach & the time of day.I know most of the beaches near the one I swam at today and trust the conditions in the mornings. There are others further up the coast, that would be great if I wanted to learn very quickly how to swim in larger waves....I guess i'm partial to a few beaches which isn't a good thing if I want to do events elsewhere.
I tried out a new pair of prescription goggles  so much easier when spotting the buoys and knowing distance.
Now if i could stop coming last in my age group that would be great. I wasn't totally last though & was spot on my estimated time :)
Trekhawk..oddly enough there was very little wind @ leighton today *phew*. It's been quite windy near our house but I certainly wouldn't want to venture on the road in the hills for fear of being blown away .
Glad to hear it was calmer at Leighton.
Yep it has sure been windy up here. When I look out my window and see so much tree litter flying around I think its a good idea to stay off the bike. I am glad to see that the winds will be dropping down tomorrow so maybe I can go for a ride.
