What a great website (more stuff for my wishlist) but not for my husband. I'm in the same quandry every year DH says he doesn't want anything ,then gets me something awesome like a roadbike last year. He has everything biking he could need. I'm thinking of getting his car detailed since he's in it all day for work. I thought about a spa weekend but I'm not sure he'd be able to really relax if it didn't require punishing himself on a bike
My DH has also lost a lot of weight over the last year but will buy his own cycling gear and doesn't need anything. He will not, however, go to the mall to buy street clothes. His dress pants and good jeans hang on him. (he wears jeans and company shirts for work) Soooo, he's getting new street clothes this year.
BF is so hard to buy for, especially since his birthday is in January. Bike gear isn't in the budget. Some amusing t-shirt from Thinkgeek and a little something else for Christmas, handknit gloves or socks for his birthday, I think.
My kids (at my suggestion) get me subscriptions to bike magazines. I recommend: Velonews or Road Bike Action. There is also a new one called, Paved...only seen one issue but the quality is good but a bit race heavy.
Also, if he is a reader there is a lot of good fiction and non-fiction he might enjoy. I'd be happy to post a list of my favorites if requested.
