I'd love to join you all but I can't do pizza. Have a great time!!
That's right, Two Amys Pizzeria was just a suggestion. I'm open to any type of food just as long as it'll bring in the most TE'rs for a get together.
Instead of a meal, why not just get together for coffee/tea or something like that?
I thought 2 Amys was a pretty good choice. Pizza has general appeal - you can go all veggie or all meat, or some combination. They have salads on the menu as well. Plus they are in my guide book. I figure if out the bizillion places to eat in DC, they made it into my guide book, they must be doing something right.

A meal vs. coffee, gives us more time to linger, to meet new folks and get re-acquainted with the TE-DC "regulars," and not feel too rushed out. It is always nice to be able to put faces and names to the screen names and avatars (I, for instance, bear no resemblance to a dragonfly!).
Did a search on Georgetown area restaurants and results are here.
Veronica - check them out...see what appeals to you and what's convenient to you. We can get a head count and then a reservation....
Oh, 2 Amy's is great! I do recall that it is a bit loud, though. There is a lounge across the street--Zebra Lounge, I believe. That might be quieter. Disclaimer: I haven't been in that area for a few years, so I'm just assuming that the Zebra is still open.
The problem with Georgetown is that there are no Metro stations.
But you all know this already. Enjoy your get-together!
Actually, I got the area wrong. We're staying at the River's Inn which is Foggy Bottom I guess.
On that list - Georgetown Cupcake! :D That just jumped right out at me. I just came from a trainer session. I'm trying to lose a few more pounds of body fat and I've really cleaned up my diet the last few weeks. But I've got a wicked sweet tooth...

You can walk there from the Foggy Bottom or Rosslyn metros. The River Inn is about a block from where I lived when I first moved to DC, and I used to walk to my job in Georgetown (near Wisconsin and K) in about 15 minutes.
Veronica, for the best advice on restaurants in DC, check out Tom Sietsema's reviews and live chats on washingtonpost.com. He does like Two Amy's. He just came out with his latest annual dining guide.
I totally look like my avatar. I probably won't wear the bike helmet and tri outfit to lunch though.

Sometimes I look like my avatar. Other times, I'm going downhill.
Don't try to plan anything around me -- I'm still working on figuring out what foods make me itch and what foods make my tummy hurt, so after you pick something I'll check the menu to see if I can work something out.
Oh! Oh! I'd like to join you, too! I enjoyed last year's lunch a lot; it was nice to meet folks and yak and listen and eat.
