I'm trying to convince my sister to get this bike, and she seems to be coming around. She admitted that getting a bike is seeming more like a practical transportation purchase and not a luxury. She's a teacher who lives one mile from work and already regularly walks the route. We're also relatively local (in Maryland) so I *think* she might be contacting you soon about this. Only fly in the ointment: she doesn't get paid over the summer so she's now at the low point in her budgetary year, so it might be a few weeks before she has the money for a purchase like this.

I am said sister (see above comment) and I AM interested in this bike. I live in Baltimore, so I would be able to come pick it up and save us both the hassle of packing and shipping. However, as Sarah said, I am a teacher and am just starting to get paid again, so I would not be able to actually make this purchase until the 15th of the month at the earliest. Possibly not until the 1st of October. Especially since I just spent entirely too much getting my car repaired (which has fueled my desire to finally get a bike!!). If you are willing to hold on to it for a couple more weeks for me, that would be wonderful!

I am willing to keep it off Ebay. Actually, I'm really happy to keep it off Ebay. And I really like the idea of finding it's home here.
I'm not in a huge hurry, but would like to feel that the commitment is firm before I say it is no longer available.
I will leave the country for 6 weeks on 16 Sept. IF you can take it by the 15th (14th even better), I'd be happy to meet you half-way (somewhere off the upper or lower beltway) to make it easier.
My wife will be here in my absence, so later is possible, but she doesn't drive, so you'd be looking at coming all the way to Vienna (Tyson's Corner area of suburban D.C.). Thus, the earlier window would be best.
