What a fun way to celebrate a birthday!! I didn't know you could rent them here, hmm that gives me ideas ;) It looks so fun, plus the added bonus of having people look at you wondering what the heck that thing is!

There are several of those in Austin that I have seen when driving around with my DD. They look like great fun.
What a good way to celebrate a birthday. Felicitations to all.

This is awesome, thanks for sharing!
And, Mimi, I love your socks. :)
questions to answer:
:D we got it up to almost 14 miles an hour with just my two sons pedalling, none of the rest of us could pedal that fast. It's a one speed and geared low.
:D we rode to golden gardens and back (about 6 miles total) and once we got to the park, my husband continued commandering the bike and getting strangers to ride it; i'm sure he rode it at least another 6 miles.
:D Scared? no, going backwards was not scary; although I kept trying to pedal backwards when i faced backwards because it just made sense. If you notice, i am the most timid of the riders (holding on with both hands) but it didn't matter where I sat, it was the same feeling, kind of like being in a hot tub
Cars were pulling over to take videos, as were cyclists and pedestrians. Everyone that passed us was waving and smiling. There was no problem with traffic at all.
Made me wish I had one for my commute!!!
Wow, I've never seen anything like that before! How fun!
I think I'd get motion sickness if I were one of the ones riding backwards. :o
You know, it's no worse than sitting on a train going backwards... and we were so busy looking at everything and talking and stuff... if you can see my son who is sitting backwards, he wasn't even feeling the need to hold on!!
Wow, I'm impressed you went that fast. It does look like fun.
well, usually we were going about 8 mph... not fast at all...
That looks like a fun way to spend a birthday.
Groundhog - Dutch Bike Co. Seattle has them for rent.
That's just too cool!! How fun:D
