I am a K9 handler for the police department at Miami International Airport. He's my new explosives detection dog, a young, 1 1/2 year old black shepherd. Right now he's a big baby but a good worker. Still learning his way around in those big feet. He's 70 lbs. now but really thin, I have a feeling when he fills out and muscles up he's gonna be a beast.
He's so handsome. Our next-door-neighbor has a male GSD, Seneca. SWEET dog. He was the runt of the litter and the smallest male GSD I have ever seen. He's afraid of DH, which cracks us up. Seneca rarely barks...when he barks it's because someone has gone by that he doesn't recognize (we're really lucky to live in a 'hood with plenty of dogs and very few barkers, really). Once he "knows" someone he barely acknowledges them. He really blows any stereotypes of GSDs as big, aggressive dogs.
Okay girls, let me know if it works...we want reports!
I'm hoping to try it tomorrow night on a 30 mile group ride. Saturday was my first century ride and yesterday we did a short recovery. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it differs from my Jett. :D
Yup! She arrived on Friday, I think. If I love it I will probably buy a Ruby of my own, then keep the Jett as a back-up or for a future cyclocross bike. :)
So... how long is this list and can I get on it?
Welllllllllllll?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
*bump* :)
Sent!
Whose got it now?
I do, I do!! :D Have been riding it for a few weeks now...and so far, so good. I even did a century last Sunday, with no major problems (just a little butt tenderness...but hey, after 100 miles...whose butt isn't sore???). If I continue to have no issues with it, I plan on picking up another one for my backup bike.
